Smash star Will Chase‘s rep has confirmed that he and his wife, Broadway performer Stephanie Gibson, are divorcing amid rumors that he’s dating his co-star Debra Messing.

Chase’s rep would not say why the couple had decided to end their two-year marriage.

Messing recently announced that she and her husband Daniel Zelman had separated, though her rep said the two had no immediate plans to divorce.

Chase and Messing’s new show premieres on NBC on Feb. 6.

Actress Debra Messing, who announced she was separating from her husband of ten years, Daniel Zelman, on Dec. 20, is rumored to be dating her Smash co-star Will Chase.

Chase recently separated from his wife, Broadway performer Stephanie Gibson, and is headed for a divorce. He and Messing have been an item for about six weeks.

“It all happened very fast and it’s a difficult situation,” says the source.

Messing and Zelman have one son, 7-year-old Roman. Chase and Gibson have no children, but he has two daughters, Daisy and Gracie, from a previous marriage.

After more than ten years together, actress Debra Messing and her husband Daniel Zelman, have quietly and mutually decided to separate, but will continue to be good friends and raise their 7 year-old son Roman together in New York City.

A rep for the actress said in a statement: “Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage. The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family.”

The 43 year-old, who stars in the highly anticipated new NBC series “Smash”, met her husband, 44 year-old actor/TV producer, while they were studying at the New York University. The two got married in 2000.

For the sake of their child, Debra and Daniel are currently still living under the same roof, which can only be awkward since they are not a couple anymore, but still have to live together and actually share the same space.

Celebrities got another chance to shine at the first important red carpet event of the year, The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards, and they all look sparkly and fabulous. Actress Debra Messing, who recently admitted she had finally get back into shape 3 years after giving birth to her son, was out and about in Beverly Hills running some errands. It looks like she just got out of bed, dressed the first thing she could find and rushed out the door.

We have to give her props for leaving the house without makeup and not caring at all if she was snapped by the paparazzi or not. Debra doesn’t look too bad for a 40 year-old MILF. What I find strange is that she was leaving the Anastasia Salon… aren’t people supposed to look good when they come out?

Actress Debra Messing confessed losing baby weight wasn’t as easy for her as it seems to be for all other celebrity mommies. She felt self-conscious looking at magazines but now Debra wows with an incredible milf body at Shape Magazine cover.

Debra says: “It was written about in the tabloids a lot. On one page it showed all the actresses who got skinny in six weeks or less, and on the other page was me! I was so depressed and frustrated.”

“Ultimately I’m very proud of how I dropped the weight because I think it was the healthy approach. I’ve finally taken ownership of my body.”

It took 3 difficult years to drop 42 pounds and get her body back into shape, but Debra looks fabulous now!
