Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo is on the October 2008 cover of ‘Allure’ magazine.  I had a hard time recognizing her at first.  She looks a bit like Lindsay Lohan and Brooke Hogan on the cover.

Droopy Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo wed record producer Barack Obama Chris Ivery in a quiet ceremony on Friday night in New York.

Ellen Pompeo now officially has her own McDreamy: the Grey’s Anatomy star and fiancé Chris Ivery married on Friday, her dad confirms to PEOPLE.

“I’m very happy for her,” Joseph Pompeo, of Everett, Mass., said Wednesday. “She just didn’t want a big thing.”

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg served as a witness at the brief ceremony, which was performed at City Hall in Lower Manhattan by a city clerk, the Boston Globe originally reported.

Did PEOPLE refer to Ivery as a McDreamy knockoff? He looks more like a Barack Obama knockoff.

Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey, on the ABC hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy is engaged to record producer Chris Ivery.

Pompeo added, “We were six degrees our whole lives, so I feel like we were sort of meant to be. We’ll get married eventually, secretly.”

The two Boston natives dated for two and a half years before Ivery popped the question after lunch this past Friday morning on Pompeo’s 37th birthday.

The rock is 3.5 carat emerald cut diamond in a platinum setting.

No wedding date has been set and they plan to wed in secret.

Last night was all about fashion at the Emmy Awards show. The below fashion was rated a hit or miss by People magazine.  Which dresses do you think would have been better left on the rack?  Evangiline Lily and Katherine Heigl looked amazing and very Bumpshack worthy.
