Rock legend Gene Simmons and his wife Shannon Tweed-Simmons have released the first official portrait of their wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (October 1)- see picture above.

After 28 year together, Gene and Shannon finally exchanged vows in front of 400 special guests, which included their children, 22 year-old Nick, and 19 year-old Sophie, who was mommy’s Maid Of Honor and sang “At Last” by Etta James for the newlyweds’ first dance. The family dog, Snippy, served as the ring bearer.

KISS rocker Gene Simons finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend/mother of his children, former Playmate Shannon Tweed, in a private ceremony in front of 400 special guests, including their two kids, 22 year-old Nick and 19 year-old Sophie, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (October 1).

Gene and Shannon have been together for more than 28 years, but he only proposed recently with a 24-carat diamond on the big finale of their A&E reality show “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” back in July. The wedding ceremony was also taped for the show, which will return for a new season on October 18.

The beautiful 54 year-old bride walked down the aisle in an ivory Priscilla of Boston gown while holding a bouquet of ivory garden roses. The lovebirds’ daughter, Sophie, served as the Maid Of Honor, and sang Etta James’ classic “At Last” for her parents’ first dance as a married couple.

KISS leader Gene Simmons was rushed to the hospital after he fainted and hit his head at the LAX airport on Sunday (October 24). The 61 year-old was taken to the Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, where he was submitted to several medical tests.

“The Demon” only suffered a cut on his forehead and doctors concluded he was just dehydrated. Gene was released from the hospital on Monday (October 25) and he caught leaving the facility in a wheelchair, which is standard procedure.

KISS bassist Gene Simmons moved to the United States from Israel as a young boy with his mother. In this video clip from the show Shatner’s Raw Nerve, hosted by William Shatner, Gene opens up and breaks down near the end describing the joys he and his mother, as Jewish immigrants, had upon entering the United States and becoming citizens.

It’s a great clip, and the seasoned rocker, shows how emotional it was for his mom, when she realized she didn’t have to Heil Hitler any more.

William ‘Bill’ Aucoin, the man credited with discovering KISS and who was their manager from 1973-1982, has passed away at the age of 66 from complications from prostate cancer surgery in Aventura, Florida.

Founding KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley left the following message and tribute on the front page of the band’s site KISSOnline.com today:

Bill Aucoin, our irreplaceable original manager, mentor and dear friend has died of complications arising from his ongoing battle with prostate cancer. He was instrumental in guiding us from the beginning and without his vision, leadership and unending dedication, we could never have scaled the heights we have reached.

Bill loved life and lived it to the fullest. Words can never convey his impact on us or those close to him.

Over all the years, he never missed an opportunity to be with us at our shows near his home or fly in for special concerts, including our most recent Madison Square Garden show. He had hoped to attend our London show earlier this month but his illness prevented it. He still planned to visit us upon the start of our upcoming US tour.

We loved him, told him and have peace that he knew it.

We will grieve and celebrate all he was and did.

We have lost a part of us.

KISS and Aucoin reunited down the road to work together on various projects.  KISS is currently on tour in Europe and will be in the USA later this year for their fall North American tour.

Aucoin also managed Billy Idol for a period in the early 80′s.

He is survived by his partner of 15-years Roman Fernandez and two sisters.

Legendary KISS rock demon Gene Simmons took to his Twitter earlier this week to give his quick thoughts and review of the new Iron Man 2 movie that he saw in Europe with band-mate Tommy Thayer.  The movie premieres in the U.S. on May 7th.

Gene’s biggest complaint about the film seemed to be the lack of action, too much talking,  and a major lack of IRON MAN.

The Demon was complimentary of Mickey Rourke as an actor but faulted his lack of ‘powers’ as limiting his effectiveness as a villain to Iron Man.

Simmons was not as complimentary of Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau, claiming the director is not a true fan of the comics and that Favreau drowned the movie with excessive dialogue.

Gene’s overall review of Iron Man 2: 6 out of 10

KISS is currently in Europe touring on their latest and even more explosive Euro Tour in support of Sonic Boom.

The beautiful Ms. Tweed tweeted (or is it Tweeded) the photo above of herself and an American Bald Eagle on Sunday.  Tweed, boyfriend Gene Simmons, and her son Nick Simmons were at the Playboy Mansion on Easter Sunday for the Annual Playboy Easter Egg Hunt.

Shannon was Playmate of the Year in 1982 and first appeared in the men’s magazine in November of 1981.  She is the gold standard of the Playboy brand and one of the top five most famous Playmates of all-time.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow arrived at the French premiere of her new movie “Two Lovers” wearing this amazingly ridiculous white dress with black lace on the front, which gave us a view of her white very unsexy underwear. What the hell was she thinking?? Those boots are like the finishing touch to an already completely hideous outfit.

This woman needs to be locked up in a mental institution! Being friends with Madonna is certainly completely damaging her sanity. Talking about sanity or rather lack of, Gwyneth’s costar, Joaquin Phoenix, didn’t even attend the premiere of what hopefully is his last movie! YES!!
