George Clooney‘s spokesman confirmed the actor  contracted malaria earlier this month after a trip to the Sudan.

The trip was made to help stop a potential civil war in the area; Clooney was there working with Google and the UN to install security in the region.

Stan Rosenfield, Clooney’s spokesman, has said he is now “completely over” the sickness, adding:

“This was his second bout with it. This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa, can be reduced to a bad ten days instead of a death sentence.”

Clooney was reportedly filming his appearance on the new Piers Morgan CNN show. Morgan Tweeted earlier:

He then added:

“More Clooney – it’s his 2nd bout of malaria. Taking medication but feeling rough.”

Actress Violante Placido, who plays a prostitute named Clara in the upcoming thriller “The American”, revealed that her co-star, actor George Clooney lacks experience when it comes to graphic, explicit sex scenes. Oh my!

George confessed he had never really made such intimate scenes, so the 34 year-old Italian actress had ask him to trust her and just let go. Violante should be the one extra nervous about getting naked in bed with the one and only George Clooney!!

“He confessed … that he didn’t do lots of sex scenes,” Violante says. “I felt like this was in a way something new to him, he wasn’t that experienced.”

“We had to find a way to make it natural and let your body speak somehow,” she says. “We were very open to one another to try and make it work. We just said ‘let’s trust each other’ and we did. I felt like we had to let ourselves go.”

“It had to look real; it is the turning point for the two characters,” she adds. “I can tell you that watching it, I don’t feel as calm as I did when I was on set filming it. Just watching it is a little like … wow.”

Actor George Clooney’s girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis is reportedly being investigated after she was caught by a witness, a former model turned hooker named Karima Menad, snorting cocaine at a nightclub in Milan, Italy back in 2007.

“I remember taking cocaine with Elisabetta Canalis and two others,” Menad told prosecutors in 2008 in documents obtained by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. “We were in The Club and it was December 2007. Menad’s testimony allowed prosecutors to seize and shut down two famous Milan hotspots, The Club and Hollywood, which led to the arrest of five people. However, it also unveiled a dirty undercover world of sex and drugs, where women were often invited to entertain celebrity customers at private tables.

“Their job was to encourage these customers to drink alcohol as to increase the table’s bill, followed up by sex off premises,” prosecutor Frank Di Maio stated in the documents. “They were often given cocaine for free by those who want to sit at a table of famous people…they want the visibility that comes from being seated at a central table, and to be seen with models, or celebrities from fashion, entertainment and sport.”
