‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Justin Chambers in Psych Ward

Justin Chambers Goes Crazy

Justin Chambers, hunky doc from Grey’s Anatomy, was in and out of a psych ward earlier this week. Ironically it is the same psych ward that Britney Spears is currently locked up in.

Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers checked into UCLA Medical Center’s psych ward earlier this week - the same facility as Britney Spears.

He “was exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder,” his rep tells TMZ.com. “He went in voluntarily to get some help.”

Are psych wards the new rehab for celebs?  I am glad my wife doesn’t send me to the psych ward for my sleeping issues.

Wet Dog Ellen Pompeo Weds Barack Obama

Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery Wed

Droopy Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo wed record producer Barack Obama Chris Ivery in a quiet ceremony on Friday night in New York.

Ellen Pompeo now officially has her own McDreamy: the Grey’s Anatomy star and fiancé Chris Ivery married on Friday, her dad confirms to PEOPLE.

“I’m very happy for her,” Joseph Pompeo, of Everett, Mass., said Wednesday. “She just didn’t want a big thing.”

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg served as a witness at the brief ceremony, which was performed at City Hall in Lower Manhattan by a city clerk, the Boston Globe originally reported.

Did PEOPLE refer to Ivery as a McDreamy knockoff? He looks more like a Barack Obama knockoff.

Grey’s Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl was censored at the 59th Annual Emmy Awards as she was awarded ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series’.

Heigl mouthed another expletive, which Fox unsuccessfully tried to evade with a different camera shot.

Katherine is not known for holding her tongue but she should have known all of the cameras would be on her.

Kate Walsh Wedding This Weekend

Private Practice and former Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh is getting married over this holiday weekend to movie ex Alex Young.

“I’m super excited to be getting married to this guy,” she told us. Although she did admit to a small “bridezilla moment” while trying on her wardrobe.

“Who knew someone could get so hysterical about a bra?” she says. “I was like, ‘It’s not the right bra, it’s not the right bra!’ And the sad part was there was a mirror there and I had to see the whole thing. My face sort of turned to this like sort of stone and then snakes — and it was bad. I was like I can’t believe I had a meltdown over a bra.”

Hopefully this sexy dame will now be happy without McDreamy or McSteamy throttling her.

Kate Walsh’s Wedding Plans

Private Practice actress Kate Walsh, who use to star on Grey’s Anatomy, about has all of the planning complete for her Labor Day weekend wedding to TV executive Alex Young.

Young, 36, and Walsh, who stars in the new Grey’s spinoff, Private Practice, will wed at California’s Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. In fact, with the help of wedding planner Jo Gartin and her company Love Luck and Angels, the celebration will be a three-day-event.

The festivities will kick off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, include a pre-wedding meal on Saturday and a sunset ceremony, then wrap up with a post-wedding brunch on Sunday, according to a source.

During the ceremony, the bride will wear a custom made Monique Lhuillier wedding dress, the source says. The Saturday reception will be held outdoors at the inn’s Casa Elar, a Spanish-style estate, where the pool will be covered to accommodate the approximately 110 guests.

I still think a better name for her new show would have been Private Anatomy.

Isaiah Washington No Longer On ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Photo: Isaiah WashingtonControversial actor Isaiah Washington will no longer be on the hit ABC TV show Grey’s Anatomy. Washington angered gay and lesbian groups after referring to cast mate T.R. Knight as a faggot on the set of the show.  He then used the word again at the Golden Globes when being interviewed with the cast.

Washington’s contract option was not renewed for next season, series producer ABC Television Studios said Thursday.

“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore,” Washington said in a statement released through his publicist, Howard Bragman, without elaboration.

He drew fire after using the anti-gay epithet backstage at the Golden Globe Awards back in January while denying he’d used it previously on the set against cast mate T.R. Knight.

Gay rights groups and cast member Katherine Heigl, who publicly denounced Washington, were among his most vocal critics.

“This is something that will have changed the scope of his life,” Heigl told Entertainment Weekly last month. Washington was “sorry and embarrassed” for the mistake, she said.

Washington tried to make amends and said he was seeking therapy.

He also met with officials from the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and filmed a public service announcement in which he said “words have power” to hurt or heal.

In the season finale, Washington’s character Dr. Preston Burke was left at the altar by his fiance Dr. Christina Yang.  Burke had cleared all of his prized possessions out of their apartment when Yang returned there in her wedding dress.

‘Grey’s’ Sara Ramirez gets Record Deal

Photo: Sara RamirezSara Ramirez, who plays Callie on Grey’s Anatomy, has leaked that she will be spending her next break from the show working on her own musical album.

We’ve already seen her rock out in her underwear on Grey’s Anatomy. Now Tony-winning actress Sara Ramirez, who plays George’s (T.R. Knight) feisty wife, Callie, has signed a deal to record her own album. “All I can say is that Eric Idle and John Du Prez, who were the writers of Spamalot, are writing the album, Ramirez told TV Guide at the Step Up Inspiration Awards where she was honored for mentoring young girls.

Although her lips are sealed about the disc’s sound, Ramirez — who has already inked a contract with Universal Music Group — did reveal that she’d spend her summer break from Grey’s in the studio recording the album.

But the Mexico native did let a few details slip about the love triangle brewing between George, Callie and Izzie. “Callie is just showing up doing her job, oblivious to everything, says Ramirez. So will she call it quits after discovering George slept with ex-model Izzie? “I think she knows her relationship with George is in sort of a delicate place, she hints. “But she’s a strong lady. She knows what she wants so I’m sure she’ll go to any lengths to get it!

I am curious as to how the record will turn out and what genre she will try to market the album to.  I keep picturing her singing at the Lilith Fair.

T.R. Knight and boyfriend

T.R. Knight, who plays George on the ABC hit Grey’s Anatomy, and his boyfriend Luke MacFarlane from ABC’s Brothers and Sisters get in some quality shopping time together. Knight announced to PEOPLE magazine last week that he is in fact gay.

Greys Anatomy’s George comes out of the closet

Photo: T.R. KnightT.R. Knight, who plays George on the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy, revealed to PEOPLE magazine that he is in fact gay.

PEOPLE released a statement from Knight today that said, “While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I’m gay isn’t the most interesting part of me.”

The much hyped fight on set between Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey might have caused Knight to publically announce his sexuality.

But the National Enquirer may have tipped us off to the story when they reported that during the fight between Washington and Dempsey, Washington yelled, “I’m not your little faggot like (name deleted).”

The Enquirer said they withheld the name of the co-star Washington mentioned “because of the extreme nature of the slur.”

Is The O.C. Over?

I didn’t watch The O.C. until last season and I was never all that impressed by it.  This show seems to be headed towards getting canned.

Fox has only ordered 16 episodes of the show for next year according to E! Online.

Considering that 22 episodes of a show constitute your typical season and The O.C. has averaged 25 a season during its three-year run, this doesn’t bode well for the prime-time soap, although a Fox spokesperson said that since it doesn’t premiere until Nov. 2 (allowing for baseball’s World Series) this fall, there’s no technical reason to have a full schedule of episodes.

If the network airs all 16 new episodes in a row, it will be out of O.C. by February, giving Fox the opportunity to take a midseason replacement for a test drive, Variety reported Wednesday.

The O.C. will be competing head to head with Grey’s Anatomy which will be moving to Thursday night. Also, having killed off Mischa Barton, and entering its fourth season, the show appears to be headed towards being replaced later this season.
