The 39 year-old certainly outdid herself in the plain yet super elegant look. Don’t get me wrong, the dress is perfect, the cape is a good fit, but there’s no wow factor. It’s plain, simple, expensive and boring. In my opinion, it’s the type of gown designed not to land in the worst dressed list, even though it may not make the best dressed list either.

The leggy, redheaded Twilight actress, Bryce Dallas Howard, has confirmed that, yes, she IS pregnant!   Howard and hubby of five years, actor Seth Gabel, welcomed son, Theo, in 2007 and are looking forward to adding to their very happy family.

US Weekly broke the news of Eclipse star’s baby bump after Howard showed up at the Cannes Film Festival looking a bit more… rotund, than usual.  No word yet on whether the new little bundle of joy will be on Team Edward or Team Jacob.

Howard, who suffered from Postpardum Depression after the birth of her first son, has become an outspoken advocate for women dealing with PPD.  In an essay for Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP Blog, Howard wrote,

Before Theo was born, I had been in good humor about my 80-pound weight gain, but I was now mortified by it…I felt I was failing at breast feeding. My house was a mess. I believed I was a terrible dog owner. I was certain I was an awful actress… Do I wish I had never endured postpartum depression? Absolutely… I…feel deep gratitude for those who stood by me, for the lesson that we must never be afraid to ask for help.

Nude tones of gold and silver seemed to be the trend of this year’s Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala, which was held in honor of the late designer Alexander McQueen. And it just so happened that three of Hollywood’s top starlets came to the event wearing similar long-sleeved, sleek gowns: Sarah Jessica Parker, Renee Zellweger and Gwyneth Paltrow.

SJP wore a silver McQueen, appropriate for the event, I’d say. Zellweger went with the ever-so-classic Carolina Herrera, donning a gold shimmery number with a scooped back. While Paltrow opted for a backless Stella McCartney number.

So who wore it best? I’m going with SJP. The gown fits her perfectly, her hair looks fabulous, and hello? She’s wearing McQueen to a McQueen event. Doesn’t get classier than that! A+, Parker.

As for Zellweger, I’d give her a close B. I’m not as crazy about this color on her pale skin. And Paltrow, a C. She missed the mark this time. It’s ill-fitting and how many times can you do the long-sleeved and backless thing? Have more fun! You have the body of a supermodel.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has landed a new job as the face of Coach. She’ll be featured in the brand’s 70th anniversary campaign, which will be seen in fall 2011 and spring 2012 in European and Asian markets.

Just a record by myself feels a little scary to me. I would like to in theory but we’ll see.”

On her challenge areas…: “My butt! My butt, butt, butt. When Tracy met me, she said that I had a long, square butt that she was going to redesign, and I was, like, “Yeah? Good luck.” The amazing thing is, she was right! And it’s still changing!”

How she stays sane about her body…: “I’ve found what works for me. I know if I put in an hour and a half, five days a week, I’m good. If I’m on vacation and, like, “F— it, I’m not working out,” I know what to do when I get back. A lot of women think, “Oh, my God, I could never get there,” but I don’t think that’s true. It’s simply relative to how much you put into it.”

How consistent she stays, foodwise…: “I say I always eat right, but last night, I had fried clams, pasta with duck sausage and two glasses of red wine. When I want to lose, I eat less pasta, bread and potatoes. Before last year’s Iron Man 2 premiere, I did green juices and salads for three days.”

Gwyneth’s fitness secret: “I do 45 minutes of cardio five days a week, because I like to eat. I also try for 45 minutes of muscular structure work, which is toning, realigning and lengthening. If I’m prepping for something or I’ve been eating a lot of pie, I do two hours a day, six days a week for two weeks.”

Country Strong star Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she’s in talks to possibly sign a record deal.

While speaking with Access Hollywood, the actress-turned-singer said she was considering her options with several labels:

“We’re talking about it now. So we’ll see.”

She also said that she accepted her role on Glee, for which she sings, to try something new, but ended up finding a new passion:

“My parts were usually quite serious and I was looking for something fun and different to do.”

“When [creator] Ryan [Murphy] asked me to be on Glee, I thought, ‘How much fun would it be to sing and dance and just be ridiculous and silly?’ I’m just having so much fun.”

Maybe I’m one of the few, but I really enjoy hearing Gwyneth sing. There’s something pure and refreshing about her voice.

Gwyneth Paltrow is for sure a very talented actress. She has also tried dabbling in music several times over her career as an entertainer.  In her latest film, Country Strong, she sang the Oscar nominated ‘Coming Home,’ which was nominated for an Oscar Sunday night.

Her performance was panned harshly on Twitter during and after her performance.  Others were more kind, in part, because they claim Gwyneth is one of the nicest people in Hollywood.  That really shouldn’t taint her performance though, good or bad!

Gwyneth won an Academy Award in 1998 for her acting in Shakespeare in Love.
