Actress Hayden Panettiere’s father Alan Panettiere was arrested Sunday night for allegedly hitting his wife/Hayden’s mom Lesley Panettiere according to published reports.
He allegedly struck Lesley Panettiere in the face at around 3 a.m. Monday, and is currently being held on $50,000 bail, according to TMZ.
Alan and Lesley Panettiere were at a party Sunday evening when Alan became upset because Lesley was “hanging” with someone and he felt she was “disrespecting” him, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
According to Lesley Panettiere’s statement to sheriffs, the couple went home, began arguing and he struck her in the cheek. Cops took pictures and there are visible marks, sources told TMZ.
Mr. Panettiere was arrested on one count of domestic violence.

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who plays the high school cheerleader hero in the hit NBC show, does her best Britney Spears impersonation in the new issue of Men’s Vogue.
In the issue Hayden can be seen in lingerie, swimsuits and playing with a teddy bear on her childhood bed.
Many seem rather fascinated by Hayden, but she looks almost illegally young in most of her photos. For the record she is 18-years-old.
Authorities in Japan have issued an arrest warrant for Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere for her activist protest in Taiji waters last month over the killing of dolphins and whales.
On Oct. 30, Panettiere joined other activists in paddling on surfboards into a cove near Taiji in southwestern Japan, in an attempt to interfere with a dolphin hunt there. The incident drew worldwide attention when video of it – including footage of Panettiere weeping on shore after being turned back – reached the Internet.
