NBC has confirmed that supermodel Heidi Klum is joining America’s Got Talent as the first-ever fourth judge.

Klum, who is the host of the Lifetime show Project Runway, will join another newcomer to the show, Spice Girl Mel B, along with Howie Mandel and Howard Stern.

“Heidi has an amazing career across multiple media platforms, and has built a brand that is a force in the entertainment business,” Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC, said in a statement. ”She has achieved superstardom while balancing being a businesswoman and hard-working mom, bringing a huge amount of experience, discernment and taste to the panel. As we look to develop an act that will get the world’s attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi’s international sensibility and understanding of what works in today’s global entertainment industry.”

“America’s Got some serious Talent!” Klum said about joining the reality competition. “I’m really excited to join the panel of AGT to see it all — from the ridiculous to the fantastic! I love the surprise element of the show and not knowing what we’ll see next and who will wow us. Seal strikes back! A few days after his estranged wife Heidi Klum officially filed for divorce, the singer decided to file a response to her petition to basically dispute her concept of assets and the custody of the couple’s four children (Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2).

While Heidi mentioned a post-nup agreement that stated there are no joint or community assets, Seal claims there are “community or quasi-community assets” to be taken into account.

Seal is not ready to give Heidi primary physical custody of the children and is seeking joint physical custody. The “Secret” singer wants the judge to deny spousal support to Heidi, but the model also asked the judge to deny spousal support to Seal.

The two are both worth a whole lot of money (Heidi’s worth $70 million and Seal is worth $15 million), therefore they aren’t expected to receive support. As for the kids, they spend most of the time with their mother while daddy is on tour, so it wouldn’t be too farfetched if Heidi actually was given primary physical custody with Seal getting visitation rights.

Heidi cited January 19, 2012 as the official date of their separation, however, Seal claims it has not been determined. This is a typical case of “potatos, potatoes.”

At an event in New York City Wednesday, Klum told reporters:

“I love tanning my body and I don’t love tan lines necessarily. I don’t think too much about what other people think or if they think this woman is too old to wear just a bikini or a bikini bottom. I come from Europe so I’m not American. It is very different here than it is German or Italy. I grew up with men wearing Speedos on the beach and topless women on the beach at any age.”

Klum has been running four miles a day to keep in shape. Last week she was spotted running with Kim Kardashian who was in town to film a guest spot as a judge on Project Runway, but Klum said she and the blushing bride didn’t discuss Kim’s upcoming wedding:

“I don’t think she needs any advice. She’s so smart and sexy and she knows exactly what she wants.”

Will she be a guest on the big day?

“I don’t know,” she laughed. “We’ll see.”
