Janet Jackson is on the cover of the October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. In the magazine, which hits stands September 19th, she discusses the loss of her brother Michael Jackson, her memories of him, how she is comping, as well as her taste in fashion.
Janet has avoided watching television so she won’t have to hear all the negativity and theories about her brother’s death.
“It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.”
She has been filming Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too in Atlanta and is also working on material for a new studio album.
I am sure there was a good bit of airbrushing, but Ms. Rhythm Nation still looks great on the cover.
Singer Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri reportedly broke up after dating for almost seven years because of their different lifestyles. Dupri, who was absent from Michael Jackson’s Memorial, likes to socialize while Janet is a more private person.
A source said, “Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate. Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet’s more shy.”
Janet is devastated and keeping herself busy by taking care of her late brother’s three children (Prince, Paris and Blanket). The kids are reportedly already too attached to Aunt Janet and want to stay with her.

Janet Jackson made a special appearance at the 2009 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (June 28). On behalf of the family, Janet delivered a small but very emotional speech (watch video below) to thank the fans for all the support just three days after the tragic death of her brother Michael Jackson.
“My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak with all of you,” Janet told the crowd at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
“I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon,” said Janet, who wore all white. “To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love; thank you for all your support,” she went on.
Then, with her voice trembling, she said, “We miss him so much.”
When Janet left the stage, host Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder performed Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There” as images of the late King of Pop played on a screen in the background (watch video below).

Jermaine Dupri set out to put all those Janet Jackson relationship rumors to rest with a special blog to his fans recently.
Dupri writes: “As you all know Janet is a very private person … the only reason you see her as much as you do on my YouTube vlog is because of me. LOL. But I hear yall and your questions. … No she is not pregnant and yes we’re still together.”
Dupri also writes: “It baffles me how yall let these blog and magazines control your lifes.”
Jackson canceled a string of concerts on her Rock Witchu tour this fall because of a bout of migraine-associated vertigo, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.

Singer Janet Jackson was hospitalized in Montreal earlier tonight after getting very ill during her sound check.
The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations.
Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital, and hopes to reschedule the show.
Maybe she caught something from her boyfriend Jermaine Dupri when he vomited in her lap during his 36th birthday party over the weekend.
