Oscar winner and singer Jennifer Hudson reveals in her new book I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down that she turned down the title role in the film Precious.

Hudson says that she turned down the part because it would have required her to gain weight. “I had done that with Effie [in Dreamgirls]… and as much as I was moved by this film. I wanted to try a role that had nothing whatsoever to do with my weight,” she writes.

Gabourey Sidibe went on to play the role, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

The American Idol alum looked incredibly skinny as she dressed up as an advertisement for celebrity fashion gone wildly wrong on the red carpet of the VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul concert held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Sunday (December 18).

JHudson is currently a billboard – Weight Watchers must be really proud of the singer’s incredibly shrinking. The 30 year-old showed off her slender figure in a super tight mini-dress and sparkly thigh-high boots.

What a disaster! Thigh-high boots are always risqué, but that dress with crochet details and that thing on her neck… Oh my. It’s just a mess. And it’s not even a hot mess. Who is Jennifer’s stylist? He/She/It needs to be fired ASAP!

American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson wants to set the record straight for once and for all, declaring she never told Joy Behar she was a size zero in an interview for the latest issue of Ebony Magazine (December/January 2012).

“I’m going to finally address that size-zero thing that Joy [Behar] said on The View,” Jennifer begins. “Hell, I wasn’t even on the show. I never said I was a size zero.”

Obviously, Jennifer could have never said such thing because she is visibly not a size zero. Plus, the Weight Watchers spokesperson revealed she has been approached by people who call her some bad names and tell her she is a bad role model.

Jennifer said, “I got crucified by I don’t know how many people who cussed me out because they said I’m putting out the wrong message and telling people to be a size zero. I got called every name under the sun and was told, ‘You should be ashamed of yourself for talking about being that size.’ Well, honey, when I do say I’m that size, then give me that speech. I never said that.”

“People say I’m always dwelling on my size. No, I’m not! Everyone else is always dwelling on my size.”

Shame on you, Joy! Jennifer has been basically bullied because of something she has not said. The 30 year-old singer actually spent the last couple of years talking about her weight loss, so it’s only normal people are talking and dwelling about her size. Just saying…

Jennifer will lead Weight Watcher’s third Lose For Good campaign– which encourages healthy but low-cost eating by teaching families how to fight hunger while tackling obesity.

Jennifer Hudson confessed to InStyle she’s considering shaving her head. Here’s what 28-year-old singer-turned-actress had to say:

“I am actually thinking about shaving my head. Because I feel I’ve got a good structure. … My cousin’s a beautician and she’s always saying, ‘You could wear any hairdo.’ So I’m thinking, what if I shave my hair? Not completely off, but low. I think that would be so hot. With my diamonds studs? But with a cut like that, your face has to be made up at all times.”

Hudson is the current spokesperson for Weight Watchers. She’s recently slimmed down from a size 16 to a size 6. And she looks amazing, if I may say so myself. She also revealed some of her weight loss secrets to the magazine:

“I was on a similar path already, except it was far stricter. And that was my downfall. I would say, ‘I’m going to have skinless chicken and grilled fish and climb a mountain to work out!’ … And then I’d gain it all back. So what I did with Weight Watchers is actually more realistic. It’s not a diet — it’s really a way of living that teaches you better skills. This is for the normal person, who wants to look better, or feel better, but who still wants to indulge a little bit.”

“I don’t want to lose any more weight, and you’re never going to see me skinny. I think this is a good, natural size for me. David [Hudson's fiancé] doesn’t like change. He tells me I have no breasts anymore. He tries to feed me.”
