Actor Jim Carrey’s former girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy, has officially broken up with her body builder boyfriend Jason Toohey after dating for only four months. The two are from completely different worlds and are apparently incompatible, but they will remain good friends.

“He couldn’t handle her fame and the amount of attention she received, so she ended it,” an insider explains. A rep for the 38-year-old model mom tells In Touch, “They are on good terms and will remain friends.”

Jenny and Jason started dating too soon after she split from her longtime boyfriend. The two tried to live together for some time but she dumped him right after presenting the American Music Awards late last month (November 21).

Jenny left the audience hysterically laughing when she revealed the makeup lady had to used a brush to do her hair “down there”, proclaiming, “I guess I’m not using this one again!”

Tuesday, Jenny McCarthy will sit down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss what caused her split with actor Jim Carrey. In April, after five years together, the couple announced their split via Twitter . Here are some bits from the interview:

Oprah: “Tell me, when did you know it was over?”

McCarthy: “You know, the simple word I can give – and there’s a few, so let me say a few. The first thing is, when it’s not fun anymore, you need to start investigating and do an inquiry into the relationship.”

No more Singled Out for this girl– Jenny McCarthy has a new boo!

A rep confirmed for PEOPLE that Las Vegas fitness model Jason Toohey is the new leading guy in McCarthy’s life. This revelation follows Jenny’s tweets about a mystery man she’d been locking lips with:

“Omg. I ran into mystery man at katsuya last night. What a coincidence! I made out with him again. Now I really REALLY want 2 know his name”

Seems like Twitter is the place to spill the beans; Jenny and her long-time boyfriend, funny guy Jim Carrey, called it quits in April….and announced it on Twitter.

From the sound of it, things with Jenny and Jason are going well– the two are apparently living together!

Jenny said:

“I’ve been living in Vegas for about a month. My house is under construction right now in L.A., so I very well could be here until it’s done.”

She added:

“But I feel really good,”

“I’m really happy [and] I’m looking forward to the future.”

Toohey is the founder of the under-eye mask treatment Eyedews, which Jenny has recently been plugging.

The pair has been seen all over Vegas together over the past few months.

No word on how this is going over for Jim Carrey.

Actor Jim Carrey and his funnywoman Jenny McCarthy announced that their relationship had come to an end after more than five years together. The two clearly still care deeply about each other as they expressed and shared their sadness with fans on Twitter.

Jim tweeted, “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>”

Jenny tweeted, “I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

Jim and Jenny were one of Hollywood’s perfect couples and they should last forever. Jenny will continue raising her autistic son, Evan, and Jim recently became a grandpa when his daughter, Jane Carrey, gave birth to baby boy, Jackson Riley Santana (photos here).

Jenny McCarthy and her boyfriend Jim Carrey were on Good Morning America discussing Autism.  McCarthy’s son has diagnosed with Autism i 2005.  The stats for Autism have gotten just down right horrible.  Now nearly 1 in 150 children have it.  In boys it is 1 in 99.  Hormones in our food, chemicals and many other things are being blamed for it.  Just ten years ago a child was 10x less likely to have it.

Saturday’s wedding started on a damp note, with scattered rain throughout the morning. Holmes and 7-month-old daughter Suri were escorted into the castle under a cluster of green umbrellas.
