Ricky admitted that he was forbidden to mention anything related to Mel Gibson, including Jodie Foster’s movie “The Beaver.” He joked about Jodie’s “Beaver”, saying “I haven’t seen it myself. I’ve spoken to a lot of guys here, they haven’t seen it either. That doesn’t mean it’s not any good.”

Actress Jodie Foster finally decided to speak and defend her “The Beaver” co-star, actor Mel Gibson, who has been accused of domestic violence by the mother of his eighth child, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, in an exclusive interview for the upcoming issue of More Magazine (October 2010).

“When you love a friend, you don’t abandon them when they are struggling,” Jodie told MORE. “Of course, Mel is an undeniably gifted actor and director, and ‘The Beaver’ is one of his most powerful and moving performances. But more importantly, he is and has been a true and loyal friend. I hope I can help him get through this dark moment.”

Mel and Jodie’s new movie “The Beaver” tells the story of a suburban husband and depressed CEO of a toy company (Mel Gibson), who uses a beaver hand puppet to better communicate with his wife (Jodie Foster) and his two sons (Anton Yelchin, Riley Thomas Stewart). “The Beaver” was directed by Jodie Foster.

Jodie claims the story is about “how close we all are to mental illness and what you have to give up in order to save yourself.” Ah! And that must be exactly what Mel is going through right now… there is still hope for Mel!
