Newlyweds Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas are spending their honeymoon on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

The 23-year-old singer-actress and producer Cokas, 42, were married on Saturday in Beverly Hills before heading to the tropical getaway of Oahu. Romance wasn’t the only thing on McPhee’s mind as she was spotted shopping at the local Gucci store – but they couple did stop for a post-purchase hug.

McPhee and Cokas married last Saturday in Los Angeles before friends and family.  The two announced their engagement back in November.

Former American Idol finalist, Katharine McPhee, married actor Nick Cokas today in Los Angeles according to OK! magazine.  Nick is nineteen years older than the 23-year-old singer.

According to a source close to singer Katharine McPhee, the 23-year-old American Idol runner-up was married to her boyfriend, actor Nick Cokas in a ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Back in November McPhee announced her engagement to the dinosaur.

Former American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee has announced her engagement to 42-year-old actor Nick Cokas.

McPhee, 23, recently has been showing off a ring from Cokas, 42. They have been dating for more than a year.

“Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

What a shame! I am a bit speechless at this beauty going into hospice care.  Congrats to the happy couple!

Former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee has faked her first pregnancy….on screen at least in the film House Bunny which is currently filming.

“I [do] definitely want to have a baby, and it’s fun to just pretend and look in the mirror,” McPhee, 23, told Entertainment Tonight this week about wearing a faux bump to shoot House Bunny. “I think it’ll probably hold me off a bit on having a baby.

“Today is the first day I’m wearing the prosthetic belly, which wraps all the way around [to] my back, and it’s actually really comfortable,” she said.

McPhee says she keeps bumping into people on the set due to the increased heavy front load.

The fake bump is certainly on the larger side, McPhee explained to PEOPLE, “[In this project], I’m in my ninth month, so I should be hanging kind of low.”

Katharine seems to be being pretty smart about her career decisions.
