Last night at the 2011 Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala honoring the late Alexander McQueen, the stars stunned on the red carpet. And when we say stunned, we mean we were stunned at just how bad most of them looked.

Actress Kirsten Dunst copes with the end of the world an upcoming catastrophe drama titled “Melancholia”, also starring True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard, Kiefer Sutherland and Charlotte Gainsbourg (watch movie trailer below).

It’s the end of the world. Planet Melancholia is set to fatally collide with planet Earth. The movie is supposed to be about people, two sisters, Justine and Claire, trying to come to terms with their certain fate. It’s pretty dramatic!

The true message is life is not worth living without hope. “Melancholia”, which will compete at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, hits theaters sometime later this year.

Actress Kirsten Dunst seems to have finally found some balance in her life and looks more gorgeous than ever on the cover of the latest issue of Allure Magazine (December 2009). The year-old, who has a new movie ‘All Good Things’ coming out, confessed she does not keep in touch with her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

Kirsten also reveals she has a secret obsession with vampires and ‘Twilight’ but why? “I watch ‘True Blood.’ I love vampire stuff — it’s sexy. There’s a danger element, and it’s sensual, what they do. I love the movie ‘Twilight.’ It satisfies the 14-year-old girl in you.”

Kirsten Dunst, the latest star child gone bad, has checked into rehab according to Star magazine.  Dunst has checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah.  She partied so hard at the Sundance Festival, which takes place in Utah, that she decided to stay for some rehab.

Spider-Man‘s Mary Jane made the decision to follow in the footsteps of Cirque patients such as Lindsay Lohan and Richie Sambora — after a week of wild parties at last month’s Sundance Film Festival. Fellow actress Eva Mendes also in the mountaintop facility right now. Mary-Kate Olsen was treated at Cirque for food issues.

“She desperately needed help,” a source in Utah tells Star. “She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears.

Rehab sounds like a lot of fun.  It sounds like a break from the real world to go horseback riding, play board games and talk with people who have even more problems than yourself.  I am considering an addiction so I can gain a fast track pass to Cirque or Promises in Malibu.

Playing a vampire at age 12 (Interview with the Vampire) is always a clue that rehab is likely in your future.  We had posted last week that she was next in line for the mental ward.  Rehab is sort of so 2007.  Maybe she isn’t A-list enough for the psych ward.

Is Kirsten Dunst the next celeb headed to the UCLA Mental Ward? The New York Post is reporting that Dunst is knocking of the door of a breakdown.

Kirsten Dunst’s strange ways have tongues wagging that she’s “on the verge of a breakdown.” The starlet came late, left early, and “acted erratic” during a recent event at Sundance, according to insiders. The source added that friends of the actress made apologies on her behalf, saying, “Kirsten is not in a good place right now.”

Dunst’s heavy drug use is no big secret to Hollywood insiders. Hopefully she can get her house in order before it gets to the step of being committed.
