Laine told TMZ, “Her mother taught her well to wait for the ten-year mark [before divorcing]. In California … it’s considered a long term marriage and then she gets paid for life or until she remarries … just like her mother is doing to me.”

“I have to pay her mom $1,800 every month and clearly they don’t need it. I have a six-year-old daughter and that money could be used toward her college fund or something… you’d think she’d care… but no, she’s spiteful.”

Vanessa’s mother is currently living the good life in one of Kobe’s mansions and is also being “supported” by her daughter. Life is good for the typical gold-digger, but life is even better for pro-basketball gold-diggers.

NBA star Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, has finally decided to file for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences today, Friday (December 16). The basketball wife has had enough and ended their relationship because she believes her husband has been unfaithful once again.

The 33 year-old LA Lakers player is allegedly willing to do anything to salvage their 10 year marriage, which was dramatically shaken when he was charged with sexual assault of a woman back in 2003.

As one source puts it, “She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough,” adding, “This one is the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Vanessa, 29, is seeking joint custody of their two daughters, 8 year-old Natalia and 5 year-old Giana, and requesting spousal support. The couple has no pre-nup, so she will walk out with half of everything that Kobe earned/built in the past decade.

The divorce petition was signed by Vanessa on December 1st and Koby signed the response on December 7th. A few minutes after Vanessa, who’s being represented by Laura Wasser and Samantha Klein, filed the petition, Kobe accepted to pay spousal support.

NBA star Kobe Bryant got extremely upset and seemed to use a homophobic slur to offend a NBA referee called Bennie Adams during a Los Angeles Lakers game on Tuesday night (April 12)- watch video below.

“Hopefully Mr. Bryant will recognize that as a person with such fame and influence, the use of such language not only offends millions of LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] people around the world, but also perpetuates a culture of discrimination and hate that all of us, most notably Mr. Bryant, should be working to eradicate.”

TMZ is reporting that Tiger Woods told a good buddy that he needed to go to Zales to get his wife Elin Nordegren a ‘Kobe Special.’

During the conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, “I have to run to Zales to get a ‘Kobe Special.’” The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a “Kobe Special” was. The reply — “A house on a finger.”

Tiger was referencing the massive rock that Kobe Bryant bought for his wife Vanessa Bryant several years ago when Kobe was accused of raping a Colorado woman.  Kobe did admit to cheating on his wife with the woman, in a consensual way.

Back in 2003, Kobe gave Vanessa a $4 million dollar, 8-carat purple diamond ring.

Vanessa, 21, was dazzled and Kobe, 24, beamed, reports PEOPLE. “They looked very happy together,” says the jeweler, Raffi, who also designed the couple’s wedding rings. “When they left, Kobe and Vanessa were holding hands.”

I think we can now look for the term ‘Kobe Special’ to become slang for – I’ve cheated on my wife and need an insanely expensive pile of diamonds to smooth this over ring.
