And don’t Colton and Lauren make a super cute couple? The 25 year-old former “The Hills” star and the 23 year-old actor/model were just laughing and playing around. The truth is they have been really good friends for a long time, but could they be something more? For now, no PDA. The future begins now…

Lauren Conrad Says Book Series Will Show Truth Of Reality TV

Former Hills and Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad had promised that her upcoming three book series will ”pull back the curtain on reality television”. The series, called The Fame Game, will follow Madison Parker, the lead from her previous L.A. Candy books.

‘The Hills’ Lauren Conrad to Write for Forbes Magazine

Conrad has shared in her lifestyle column for Forbes magazine that she often to struggled to reconcile the differences between television and real life at the height of her newfound fame:

“Only a fraction of my life story was broadcast on television. Off camera, the rest of my world was being turned upside down as I came into my newfound celebrity. I saw a book series as an opportunity to tell the other side of the story – the story about what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling.”

Conrad also shared that she wants audiences to understand selective editing on reality television:

“Simply put, I wanted to pull back the curtain on reality television. I think a majority of people have no idea how deceptive and unreal reality television actually is.”

“For instance, a friendly conversation might be mutated into a grandiose romance, or people who you thought were your friends were in fact cast to become your newest on-camera confidant. By exposing the other side, I hoped to remind people that situations are often distorted when filtered through an editing room.”

I appreciate her honesty on the subject. After all, she suffered from it for years. I guess it seems ridiculous to say that any reality television star “suffered” from anything besides being filthy rich, but I can’t imagine being a teenager and juggling real life and fame.

Lauren Conrad’s Weekend Vacation Gets Ruined

Lauren Conrad‘s dream weekend vacation was ruined. Or at least that is what she hinted at on her Twitter account. According to her, she was about to embark on a fun 4 day weekend vacation. But her plans become ruined when her car broke down midway. Here is what she shared on Twitter with her adoring fans.

Leaving town 4 the weekend seemed like such a great idea… Until my car broke down.. On the freeway… In the middle of the desert. Awesome

Lauren Conrad Breaks Up With Boy Toy

Poor Lauren, she is so used to her formally charmed life. I am sure she won’t stay stuck in the middle of no where. Who knows? She may now get a new show based on her travels. Anything is possible these days when it comes to reality TV. I have a feeling that she will follow Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton. It is only a matter if time before she has more failed attempts at reality show comebacks.

Former “The Hills” stars Lauren Conrad and her boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard, have decided to call it quits after dating for more than three years, which is an eternity in Hollywood.

The 25 year-old and the 33 year-old “My Boys” star managed to keep their relationship as private as possible for a long time. They began dating in 2008, and were rumored to be engaged earlier this year. Lauren denied the engagement rumors, but gushed about her man, saying he was “very sweet.”

Kyle and Lauren’s relationship most probably just ran its course, and the two will continue to be good friends. The good news is Lauren, a best-selling author (LOL!), is currently single and ready to mingle!

The 26-year-old mogul has taken what could have been 15 minutes of fame to a career, and Lee is thrilled for her to be joining the Forbes team:

“Lauren’s jump from celebrity to entrepreneur puts her on the same trajectory as many a bright-eyed instant cover girl, but whether she can channel her persona into an enduring commercial tour de force remains to be seen. All considered, she’s off to a good start,”

Impressive! Say what you want about her, but she’s no Heidi Montag.

Lauren Conrad Reveals No Talent On Allure Cover (May 2011)

Thank YOU, Lauren! Former Hills girl, Lauren Conrad, finally admitted she has absolutely no talent and is not even sexy (just cute!) in an interview for the cover of the upcoming May 2011 issue of Allure Magazine.

The 25 year-old is a just a reality star smart enough to not turn into a train wreck or a plastic surgery addict, while launching a few successful book among “young adults” and people with nothing better to do.

Here are some highlights from Lauren Conrad’s Allure interview:

On being called “Reality Show Talent”: “They called me that, and I’m like, ‘What’s my Talent?’”

Would she like to take back and on camera moments? “I was always a little bit embarrassed when I would be drunk on camera.”

On how she sees herself: “I’m not a sexy person. I’m OK with it. I’ve never been the sexy girl. Whenever I’ve had a boyfriend, he’s always been like, ‘Oh, you’re cute.’”

On her body issues:“It wasn’t ‘Lauren Debuts Her Line’; it was ‘Lauren Debuts a Fuller Figure,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, no!’ because I’d put on a few pounds. If I’m shopping and I see paparazzi, my bag goes directly to my thighs.”

Lauren Conrad Talks Reality In Teen Vogue’s November Issue (PHOTOS)

Lauren Conrad is the American Dream; a normal teenage girl who rose to fame by being a normal teenage girl. The former Hills star is currently in the process of shooting her new yet-to-be-titled reality show and releasing two new books: a novel and The Lauren Conrad Style Guide. She recently sat down with Teen Vogue to discuss her new projects.

On filming the reality show:

“For the first time, they’re going to actually acknowledge the fame that comes along with the show. It’s not going to revolve around my personal life. Filming the last two shows, I never had the opportunity to show everything I was working for. This time the focus is going to be on my job, and while that’s still personal to me, I will also have a part of my life that can be mine.”

On skeptics who say she doesn’t have to overcome the same hurdles that other young designers do:

“I would agree. I would also say that I’ve sacrificed and worked very hard to get where I am now. So whereas someone just getting out of fashion school may have to struggle for years to have the opportunity to start a clothing line, I’ve been working every single day since I was seventeen toward this. I’m also faced with different challenges. I go into meetings, and people have this preconceived notion of me that I didn’t work hard to get where I am.”

On making her reality show a reality:

“I watch a little reality now, and while I know it’s been partially ruined for me because I’ve been through the process, I think the format has become too beautiful and perfect. It doesn’t look or feel real anymore. One of the inspirations for this show is The September Issue. It’s going to be filmed more like a documentary. The Hills was shot with three or four cameras; things like entrances and exits were reshot; and if there were sound issues, we were asked to repeat what we just said. This show is going to have a smaller crew, and they’ll just be following us around. It’s going to have a rougher feel, but I think the end result is going to be more true.”

Lauren really does have great style. I’m interested to get her new style book. I also think that Lauren is a positive role model for teenage girls. Healthy, happy and driven: exactly what MTV needs for their network. Read the rest of her interview HERE.
