Levi Johnston has set a good example for his younger sister. The mother of Bristol Palin‘s son, Tripp, previously posed nude for Playgirl magazine. Now, his 18-year-old sister, Mercede, has posed nude for a four-page editorial in the September issue of Playboy.

Mercede has been rather critical of her brother’s ex-girlfriend, Palin. On July 4, she took to her blog to respond to Palin’s story of losing her virginity to Levi, which she details in her memoir Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far. Mercede wrote:

“Does anybody really believe a good Christian girl, such as Bristol claims to be, would really lose her virginity in a tent? I don’t think so. Usually girls want their first time to be meaningful and special.”

“After she made those hurtful and indefensible statements in her book about my brother, I decided no matter how uncomfortable I feel talking about this, it is something which I must do. No one deserves to be accused of such a disgusting and horrendous thing. Especially not my brother who, believe it or not, truly loved Bristol with all of his heart.”

Bristol is apparently happy for Levi since this new girl is teaching him how to become a better father to his 1 year-old son Tripp.

So many people accuse Levi Johnston of being fame-hungry, and he is, but he insists that his ex-fiancee Bristol Palin is just as much of a spotlight seeker!

Levi said in an interview with the CBS Early Show:

“I don’t think I’m any more obsessed with making a career out of this than she is,”

“Obviously she’s doing Dancing with the Stars. I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with any of it. I’m just taking it as it comes.”

He makes a fair point– Bristol recently made her television debut in an episode of ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and is expected to be cast on Dancing With The Stars in its 11th season.

Bristol called off their engagement– for a second time– just a few weeks ago, because she said that Levi was just too obsessed with the limelight.

Seems just a tad hypocritical, don’t you think?

Levi is currently running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska….and documenting his political journey with a reality show, of course!

He is currently in talks to get Loving Levi: The Road To The Mayor’s Office onto a major network.

Levi Johnston’s ex-girlfriend, Lanesia Garcia, who is currently pregnant with her first child, comes out to defend Bristol Palin’s on and off fiancé, saying Levi cannot possibly be the father of the baby she is expecting.

Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin’s grandson, has come out and apologized for things he said last year that he know says were not true….most notably on The Tyra Banks Show.

He had already apologized to Sarah and her husband, Todd Palin, privately.

Levi made claims that he lived with his girlfriend Bristol Palin before she became pregnant as well as the outlandish statement that Sarah called her Down’s Syndrome son “retarded.”

“Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true,” Johnston told CNN’s sister publication PEOPLE Magazine. “I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize.”

Levi and Bristol have reconciled and are back together after several months of fighting and bickering.

It’s not like too many people, beyond the extreme Palin haters, believed in Johnson’s claims anyway.

Levi was one of the 10 Most Hated Celebrities 0f 2009.
