A newly red-haired Lindsay Lohan emerged at the 2012 White House Correspondent’s Dinner in Washington, D.C. last night looking more glamourous than ever.

First of all: Yes, Lindsay Lohan was invited to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. Second: No, I don’t know how in the hell that happens.

Nonetheless, Lohan, who experienced a bit of a flight delay on her way there, emerged wearing a black satin halter gown and red lips.

Rosie O’Donnell criticized actress Lindsay Lohan earlier this week saying that she didn’t think the 25-year-old was suited to play the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime flick Liz & Dick. And now, Lohan is speaking up.

“It’s funny that someone you don’t know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing,” Lohan told reporters. “You should base your opinions when you meet someone. One-on-one is better.”

“I don’t think I need to tell her anything. I know that I’m great and I know that I know Liz Taylor really well,” Lohan added.

But as UsMagazine points out, maybe Lohan doesn’t know her that well, because Taylor once said she hates ”being called Liz, because it can sound like such a hiss.”

Lohan continued, claiming that she feels a connection to the late actress. ”We’ve shared the same makeup artist and the same hairstylist. We’ve worked with a lot of the same people,” she explained. “She sent me a ring at one point in my life from her House of Taylor costume collection. I’m really lucky to be able to do this role and I just want to honor her the way she should be honored because she’s helped a lot of people in her life.”

Hope this made you feel better, Lindz. Oh, and just a question: why are we all up-in-arms over a daggum’ Lifetime movie anyway?

The actress, who filmed her scenes as a nationals judge for her May 15 guest appearance, showed up six hours late, creating a stir among the cast and crew.

Dot Marie Jones, who plays Coach Bieste on the FOX show, was clearly one of the upset cast members. ”Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things. Not cool!” Jones tweeted and later deleted. “I’d rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late.”

Apparently Rosie O’Donnell owns a crystal ball which is telling her that if Lindsay Lohan doesn’t completely change her lifestyle, she will end up dying alone in a hotel room like Whitney Houston.

After stirring controversy with her statement LiLo is not suited to play Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming biopic (watch video here), the comedienne returned to The Today Show to further explain her point of view and basically ask the troubled actress to take some time off.

Rosie said, “Watching Whitney Houston’s funeral I remember thinking, ‘Why didn’t more people say what they knew?’ We all knew.”

She continued, “We watched ‘Being Bobby Brown’ … it was like watching Sid and Nancy … they were people in the throws of addiction. But all anyone cared about was that the show was getting ratings.”

“To look at Lindsay Lohan, you can’t help but feel for her … and I do not think she’s untalented, I think she’s quite talented.”

Comparing LiLo to Whitney is a bit far-fetched, but I understand what Rosie is trying to say. The former talk show host confessed she feels the need to speak out and help Lindsay because no one did that for Whitney.

Or did they? And it still doesn’t matter if the person in question doesn’t really want to change. Lindsay seems to not be taking this warning from Rosie well. In fact, LiLo is determined to prove she can do it.

Don’t expect Linds to go on a spiritual retreat anytime soon. Therefore Rosie’s argument is utterly useless. Lindsay is not going to take her advice. But she should.

It’s safe to say Rosie O’Donnell is not a fan of Lindsay Lohan. The comedienne basically slammed the actress, claiming she is currently not capable of doing a good job, after LiLo was officially confirmed to be playing Dame Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming biopic for Lifetime titled “Liz and Dick.”

In an interview on The Today Show (video below), Rosie said: “I feel very sorry for her [Lindsay]… I think she needs a lot of time away … She’s had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including ‘SNL.’ She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she’s not in a place to work.”

Donny Deutsch argued: “She’s our generation’s Elizabeth Taylor!”

To which Rosie retorted: “You’re out of your mind! You’re a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen.” Adding, “I don’t think she’s right for the role, and I don’t think she’s capable at this point to portray that character.”

For once, Rosie is absolutely right. I cannot even remember a time when Lindsay’s movies actually got good reviews and she cannot continue living in the shadow of “Herbie: Fully Loaded” (2005) and “Freaky Friday” (2003), which in my humble opinion weren’t even that good.

Poor Lindsay. It must be hard to be so misunderstood because several people actually witnessed the whole ordeal. And Lindsay did indeed hit the hookah lounge manager, who didn’t seemed to be injured, and fled the scene.

The alleged victim of the hit and run originally told the cops on the scene he didn’t need medical attention. However after he was informed who had hit him, the manager might be having second thoughts and getting ready to press charges.
