The Duchess of Cambridge covers the magazine‘s 73rd Best Dressed September issue, making this her third time to make the list. And while Kate’s photo is plastered on the front of the magazine, it’s only a stock photo. (Speaking of, who do you think will get the privilege of being Kate’s first real cover?)

Wait a second….Kate Middleton? The Duchess of Cambridge? Posing for a magazine cover?!?

Don’t worry, folks. Our dear Kate wouldn’t dare to be seen in an ensemble as hideous as the one she’s been photoshopped into on the latest cover of Marie Claire South Africa. That’s right, the Duchess’ hands and face have been photoshopped on to a fashion model’s body in what the magazine is calling a “tribute.”

And Marie Claire isn’t shy about the joke they’ve pulled on all of us. As a matter of fact, they’re downright open about it.

“We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue,” editor, Aspasia Karras told The Telegraph. “The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon.”

I hope Kate got a good laugh out of this. I know I did.

The 39 year-old asked Playboy honcho, Hugh Hefner, to pose naked for the infamous men’s magazine one last time before turning the big four-O in November. This the 39 year-old mama’s seventh photo shoot and sixth cover for the magazine.

The tasteful eight-page pictorial by photographer Steve Shaw will hit newsstands on Friday (June 29). So does Jenny still got it or what?

I’m holding myself, laughing, turning bright red, but a lot of people are watching, so they kicked us out of the Santa Monica Pier—it was so embarrassing…You wouldn’t think that would happen with a one-piece!”

Soccer star David Beckham becomes the first man to ever appear on the cover of ELLE UK Magazine (July 2012). In the double cover issue, David shows off his incredible shirtless and deliciously wet body in a pair of hot black pants and gives us a close up of his tattooed arms.

ELLE UK’s editor in chief, Lorraine Candy, explains why they picked Victoria Beckham’s husband for the cover of the magazine just ahead of the Olympic Games in London:

“David Beckham is a national hero… He is an icon and Elle is known for featuring icons on its cover. This is a first for us on the newsstand and I believe he is loved by men and women alike. Anyway, who doesn’t want to see a picture of one of the world’s most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? It will be a collector’s issue.”

In the ELLE interview, David confesses he is completely in love with his baby girl, Harper Seven, and confesses that he and Victoria are very hands-on parents, but they have set up a date night once a week to be able to spend some time alone.
