Canadian Jayde Nicole has been named the 2008 Playmate of the Year by Playboy magazine today in Los Angeles. Jayde is 22-years-old and from Port Perry, Ontario.  She was Playboy’s Miss January 2007.

She is the first Canadian to be PMOY since Shannon Tweed was back in 1982 (yes its been 26 years).

The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck shows off her post-pregnancy bikini body on the cover of the new Fitness magazine and photo spread within the pages.  E-Beth trained especially hard just for the cover shoot.

“Body image has nothing to do with scale numbers, it’s how you feel inside,” Hasselbeck, who turns 31 this month, told Fitness magazine. “This is the first time I’ve felt free from that, because I am working out in a way where I feel so strong that there’s no room for those doubts.”

She adds: “I finally told myself … ‘I’ve got some curves, I’ve got a bubble butt, but I don’t mind, because it’s what powers me forward when I run.’ “

Serial dater Jessica Simpson is on the cover of the June 2008 issue of Glamour magazine. Within the pages she talks about her serious dating relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

I was taking a sneak peek at People’s ‘100 Most Beautiful People’ and was amazed to find that Rumer Willis had made the list. I thought this was a bad joke as Rumer is routinely bashed…for well…not being her mother.

I can propose that having the last name Willis and hanging with BFF Paris Hilton is enough to make you one of People’s ‘Most Beautiful’.

PEOPLE magazine has named Kate Hudson as their cover girl for the 100 Most Beautiful People issue.  Kate has always made sure she could still get girly after getting dirty with the boys.

“I was a tomboy. I had three brothers. I was the girl with the dress on that always came back in the house filthy with scrapes and bruises. But I was always very girly. I had to be able to twirl so that my underwear showed.”

Her best time for looking good, she says, comes “at the end of the night, when everything’s soaked in and I’m still up. I like the leftover makeup in the morning. You’ve got to wash your face but there’s always the leftover eye makeup, I love that.”

A good choice for the cover person for this issue.  Kate is beautiful and seems as well grounded as any celebrity in Hollywood can be.

Rock hard beauty Kristen Bell is on the cover of the May 2008 issue of Women’s Health magazine. Below are a few snippets from her interview with Women’s Health that can be read in it’s entirety HERE.

On being the mischievous narrator of the CW’s “Gossip Girl”:

“I channel that voice everybody’s had in their head since grade school. It’s the critical voice that pops up when you see somebody who’s wearing mom jeans, you know what I mean? It’s a defense mechanism–that’s what cattiness and gossip are. You’re worried that someone is thinking something bad about you, so you think it about them first.”

On her role as the one and only “Sarah Marshall”:

“Sarah was written in a beautiful way: She’s not just the antagonist or the victim. Typically in romantic comedies one person is demonized the other isn’t. But this is like Knocked Up; all the lines are blurred. Nobody’s really at fault and that’s how reality is. Sarah is probably 25 percent bitch, 25 percent airhead, and 50 percent real.”

On dating Dax Shepard and dealing with the paparazzi:

“It amplifies the feeling that everything I do is looked at, and it makes me hyper-aware and insecure. You’re on display when you really don’t want to be. That’s why I’ve become more reclusive. At my house with my friends, I don’t need to deal with that stuff.”

“…I really like [the video game] Mario Kart, and I have to remind myself, ‘You are in real traffic!’ It’s scary because the photographers run red lights. So by making them chase me, I could cause an accident, and nothing is worth risking that. I could complain about this all day, but everybody’s job has downfalls. Some people are in an office and their butts fall asleep in their chairs; this is just what I have to deal with.”

On her personal security and living a low-key life:

“I’m more of a homebody. I’m constantly asked: ‘Why don’t we see you out?’ But that’s not what drives me. I prefer to have people over–which I do a lot…”

“I’m not going to become anybody I don’t want to become. But I’ve been followed by photographers a lot lately, and it makes me insecure.”

Teen star Miley Cyrus has issued an apology through People magazine apologizing for photos that insinuate that she is posing topless that are set to appear in Vanity Fair magazine.

Here is what Miley had to say in her statement to People:

The singer, 15, tells PEOPLE: “My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.”

A source close to the singer tells PEOPLE that Cyrus is clothed but shown by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz in such a way that that the teen appears to be topless.

According to sources Miley was not topless underneath the sheet. Her parents left before the final photos where photographer Annie Leibovitz took advantage of the teen.

Though Cyrus’s parents left before the final shot, with Miley supposed to be appearing topless, the source said: “Miley’s grandmother and her teacher were there when she shot it. Annie convinced them it was going to be artistic. Her parents are mortified. They know this is a learning moment for Miley.

“The photo suggests that she is [naked], but she is not. She is covered by a sheet, and beneath the sheet she is clothed. Originally, she was in a flesh-colored tank top but was asked to remove it.”

I returned from my weekend get away to find out that Miley Cyrus has posed topless, covered with just a single sheet, for the new issue of Vanity Fair. I am so disgusted that I am almost sick.

Earlier this week Miley put photos on her MySpace page in which she was showing off her new training bra and laying in her boyfriend’s lap.

Then on Friday photos surfaced of her making out with boyfriend Thomas Sturges.

Here are my quick thoughts on the Vanity Fair pictures:

1. She is a true 15, not 16 and far away from 18.
2. She looks like a made up 8-year-old Jon Benet Ramsey in the photos.
3. Everybody should boycott Vanity Fair magazine.
4. Where was Billy Ray and Trish? Did they approve of this?
5. This photo shoot puts Disney in an extremely tough spot with their cash cow.
6. Hannah Montana might be dead.
7. The Britney Spears train is making room for one more passenger.

More about this photo shoot is suppose to be on Monday night’s Entertainment Tonight.

I am a fan of Miley Cyrus but not of stupid, dumb, immature stuff like this. Her agent should be fired.

PS: I am hoping that this is some sort of hoax or Pop Fiction.

Season four American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is on the cover of the May 2008 issue of In Style magazine.

“I’ve been cheated on a time or two. It’s tough,” she tells InStyle in the May issue, on newsstands Friday. “I wouldn’t recommend doing any property damage, though,” she laughs, a reference to her Grammy-winning song “Before He Cheats” about a woman who trashes her boyfriend’s truck.

“Now I’m to the point where you get one shot. Life’s too short,” adds the Season 4 American Idol champ, who says that dessert is one way she heals from heartache.

FHM magazine has named Megan Fox as the ‘Hottest Woman Alive’. Fox has often been compared to a cheap, knockoff version of Angelina Jolie.  The real Angelina came in at 9th place.
