Singer/actress Mariah Carey confessed she was emotionally abused after being asked about Rihanna, who was brutally beaten and bitten by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, on ‘Larry King Live‘ Wednesday (November 4).

“You’ve been emotionally abused?” King questioned.

“Emotionally, mentally …” Mariah said.

“Why is it hard to get out of it?” King continued

“Well, it’s scary,” she said. “You know I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in if your situation is similar to one of the situations that I’ve been in which I won’t harp on.”

“No you don’t have to, but it is hard to get out?” he asked again.

“For me, to really get out it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life,” Carey added.

Mariah says there are different types of abuse and that she can’t imagine what Rihanna has been through. The 40 year-old singer claims it is really difficult to break out of a destructive relationship, especially when that person is in control of your life. Mariah, who is currently married to Nick Cannon, is most probably talking about her relationship with ex-husband and Sony Music mogul Tommy Mottola.

Singer Mariah Carey tripped while making her big entrance at ‘The Jay Leno Show‘ on Monday (November 2). The singer, who has been gaining a lot of weight and is rumored to be pregnant (photos), joked about the situation and said it had been all choreographed to scare Jay Leno.

Mariah, happily married to Nick Cannon, is currently promoting her new movie ‘Precious’ for which she has been acclaimed by the critics. The movie had such a big impact on producer Tyler Perry that he felt the need to reveal his horrible experience of abuse as a child (read more details).

Singer Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are reportedly expecting their first child. The happy married life seems to be taking its toll on Mariah since she has been gaining a lot of weight and she was recently spotted with what can be defined as a bulging baby bump (photos below).

The 39 year-old singer told InTouch, “I love where I am in life right now,” and confessed she wants to start a family soon. A source reveals Mariah and Nick have been trying to get pregnant for a year now but that Mariah wants to wait until a little further along to make the official announcement.

Mariah Carey done messed up when she took a shot at one-time lover Eminem in her ‘Obsessed’ video. Eminem has now taken it to a 2Pac-Biggie beef level with his major diss track, ‘The Warning,’ which is 100% totally aimed at Mariah, or Mary Poppins as Em alleges she likes to be called in the sack.

The song is full of expletives and graphic details about Em’s relationship and night in bed with Mariah. He even takes several shots at Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon, who is likely to roll up into a ball and hide in the closet after he hears the track.

The song is dope but might be offensive to some readers. If you want to hear a diss rap song then you won’t hear one better than Em’s ‘The Warning’ where he threatens to release nude photos of Mariah and tell even more embarrassing details about her.

The best line in the song is when Eminem raps, “…when me and Louise were trying to stick two CD’s in the same slot.”

It will be best for Mariah to keep her mouth shut and not reply. Nick on the other hand will either have to stand up for his woman or likely deal with the wrath of the diva that is MC.

Mariah Carey’s first single out of her brand new album titled “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” is ‘Obsessed’. The official premiere of the music video will be at “America’s Got Talent” on Wednesday (July 15) but it has been leaked somehow and you can watch the complete video below.

The singer used her Twitter account to deny the rumors the crazy stalker featured in her ‘Obsessed’ video is Eminem. Mariah tweeted, “I am NOT at any point in the video playing a specific person. I’m dressed as a “stalker” in 3 different ensembles.”

Singer/songwriter Mariah Carey apologized to her fans and everyone for her performance of “I’ll Be There” (watch video here) at Michael Jackson’s Memorial Service At the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 7).

Mariah tries to explain how she was overcome with emotion and how hard it was for her to sing in front of Michael Jackson’s casket. Mariah posted on Twitter the following statement:

“Just recovering from the day. Still filled w/sadness as we listen to KJLH in LA (Stevie Wonder’s radio station) paying tribute to MJ.

Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me.

One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people. He inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts.”

Mariah was also the first performer to take the stage, which may have added a bit of pressure. It was clear Mariah was fighting back tears and she also seemed to be a little numb.

Mariah Carey is back! The 39 year-old singer just revealed the cover art for her brand new single “Obsessed” from her upcoming studio album titled “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel“. The single will premiere on Chicago radio station B96 later today (June 16).

Glamorous diva Mariah Carey is on the cover of the June 2008 issue of Vibe magazine.  Has Mariah been airbrushed on the cover?  Some people are saying that Mariah looks like she was touched up in that photo.

Nick Cannon’s relative Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that Nick has in fact wed Mariah Carey, who is quite possibly the biggest diva of all-time. The wedding supposedly took place in the Bahamas where Carey owns a home.

Family member Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married.

“Yes, we know,” she says. “He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him.”

Linda Cannon wouldn’t confirm an earlier report that had the impromptu nuptials taking place yesterday at Carey’s new home in the Bahamas, only that Nick and his platinum-selling girlfriend have made it official.

Congrats to Nick and Mariah and Nick’s fame seeking relative. Now that a secretive marriage has taken place can we expect a pregnancy announcement?

Cannon’s prior flame was Victoria’s Secret model Selita Eubanks.

Mariah Carey and rapper Nick Cannon continue to heat up as their relationship becomes more and more public.  The two have been seen many times lately and were very cozy at the post-party for her new film Tennessee.

The pair held hands at the bash at Tenjune, which followed the movie’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. The two also looked cozy in Vegas on April 14. When asked about a possible engagement, Cannon’s rep had no comment; Carey’s was unable to be reached for comment.

Asked what he loved about Carey, Cannon, 27, told PEOPLE: “Everything.”

Congrats to Nick although I am betting this is not the last call to board the Mariah train.

Mariah Carey’s album ‘E=MC2’ debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart with over 500,000 units moved in the first week. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and the Juno soundtrack all bounced back into the top ten.  Lady Antebellum was the only newcomer to the top ten besides Mariah.

Pop star Mariah Carey was a bit insecure last night after her performance on American Idol.  In true diva fashion she had her part of the show pre-taped 40 minutes before the actual live broadcast.

To make matters easier for everyone, Mariah’s portion of the hit show was shot aobut 40 minutes before the beginning of the live broadcast. To warm up, she did a quick run-through — only singing about half of the song — before shooting the version of the song that would air last night.

The diva was apparently very insecure and unsure of her performance.  She sought out Randy Jackson’s opinion to reassure her that it had been good enough.

But Mariah apparently had a different opinion of her performance. “The ending was a little rancid,�? she countered.
“No, it sounded good,�? assured Randy and his fellow judges, prompting cheers from the audience.

One, twice, three times the diva!  Mariah did look smoking hot!

Former fashion designer Mr. Blackwell has come out with his annual list of the ‘10 Worst Dressed Celebs’.  The only one I believe that doesn’t deserve to be on this list is Christina Aguilera. For the past year or so she has been the ‘class’ of Hollywood.  Granted she was the worst of Hollywood a couple of years ago as well.  Britney is my worst dressed celeb.
