American Beauty actress Mena Suvari is divorcing her husband, concert promoter Simone Sestito, after less than two years of marriage, her rep has confirmed.

Suvari , who listed the date of separation as Nov. 1, 2011, cites “irreconcilable differences,” and also plans to block Sestito from receiving spousal support.

This is the second divorce for Suvari, who was married to cinematographer Robert Brinkman for five years before their split in 2005.

Actress Mena Suvari and her music producer boyfriend Simone Sestilo finally tied the knot in a beautiful private ceremony in Vatican City, Italy on Saturday (June 26). The bride wore a beautiful gown by Stacey Bendet.

The lovebirds have been dating for almost three years. Mena and Simone met at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2007 and quickly hit it off. In the summer of 2008, Simone romantically proposed to Mena.

“He got down his knees,” Suvari told Us last fall. “It was very romantic.”

“I love him,” she cooed of her longtime beau. “He’s Italian and my family is part Greek, and it’s all about family and culture…I love his family and it just inspires me to live that kind of life.”

Simone is just as smitten. “The thing I love most about her is the understanding. We get each other alot, so there’s a good connection there.”

This is not the first marriage for the 31 year-old actress. She was previously married for five years to cinematographer Robert Brinkman, who was 17 years her senior, before divorcing back in 2005.
