Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones was allegedly punched in the face by a paparazzo and her husband, actor Michael Douglas, confronted the guy as a knight in shining armor just outside their hotel in London, England on Thursday night (February 24).

The confrontation was all caught on tape by ET (watch video below). Paparazzi were impatiently waiting for Catherine and Michael’s arrival at the hotel’s front door. The couple had to sail through the paps to enter. Then, Catherine started screaming and yelling “He punched me! I want a police officer right now. He punched me!”

Michael talked to his wife, who was secure in the lobby, and came to the door to confront the paparazzo in question. Catherine continued to scream “He punched me!”. Michael called the guy and a-hole and ordered him to get the hell out in a not so polite manner.

The actor’ rep, Allen Burry, tells ET, “You saw it for yourself. Otherwise, the trip and the ceremony were fabulous and such a joy for everyone.”

Michael and Catherine were returning from a Royal ceremony, during which the actress was honored for film and charitable achievements with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire title. Congrats, Catherine!

Michael Douglas, 65, who was just diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer, sat down earlier this month to discuss his career and family life with Men’s Journal. During the interview, the actor expressed his regret in choosing his career over fatherhood. Earlier this year, his son, Cameron, 31, was sentenced to five years in prison for dealing meth.

On his 93-year-old father, Kirk:

“He was a rager early on. He was overworked. He was doing five-plus pictures a year. I just sort of stayed out of his way, but he did the best he could.”

On repeating Kirk’s mistakes as a young father:

“My career was really just getting started and that was my focus, maybe more than it should have been. I was gone more than I should have been.”

On Cameron’s prison sentence:

“I just want to talk to him about what he’s going to accomplish there besides working out and playing on the softball team. What tools is he going to be able to work on?”

Michael Douglas Diagnosed With Throat Cancer

I commend Michael for being honest about his mistakes. He’s recently completed eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Though Michael Douglas is optimistic about his current battle with throat cancer, his wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, is angry that doctors didn’t find it sooner.

Michael revealed that he had cancer earlier this month, but had apparently been searching for a cure to constant throat and ear pain for months.

Catherine commented on how she’s coping with the discovery of the walnut-sized tumor in Michael’s throat:

“I know maybe I should be stronger, but emotionally I just don’t want to see that. The hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired.”

Michael told audiences of Tuesday’s The Late Show with David Letterman that doctors say he has an 80% chance of recovery even though his cancer has reached a late stage 4.

Catherine expressed her distaste with the doctors:

“It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier,”

“He sought every option and nothing was found.”

Michael, on the other hand, is taking things as they come.

He said:

“Without having to blame anybody … these things sometimes just don’t show up,”

Actor Michael Douglas’ son Cameron Douglas, who had pled guilty to all charges, was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiring to sell crystal meth and heroin possession after he was arrested last summer during a federal investigation (mugshot photo here), which also involved his girlfriend, Kelly Sott (photos here).

Cameron thanked the judge for the chance to get clean and was glad to be sober for the first time in his life. “I’d like to apologize to my family and loved ones for putting them through this nightmare of my making,” Cameron said, adding, “I believe, your honor, things will be different this time.”

The 31 year-old should have faced a minimum of 10 years in jail but more than a dozen letters on his behalf, including one from his father, Michael, and one from his mother, Diandra Luker, made the judge reconsider his punishment. Cameron will face 5 years behind bars, other 5 years of supervised release, pay $25,000 in fines and must serve 450 hours of community service..

Cameron Douglas’ girlfriend Kelly Sott was arrested for attempting to pass him heroin hidden in an electric toothbrush while in a conference room inside a federal courthouse in New York City on Monday (August 10).

A security guard overheard a phone conversation in which Douglas asked for a toothbrush. Douglas “appeared to be very concerned about when the toothbrush would be delivered,” the complaint says. According to another guard, Douglas had already been provided with a toothbrush a few days earlier.

Michael Douglas’ son, Cameron was arrested for possession a large amount of crystal meth with the intent to distribute last month (July 28).
