Former teen star Miley Cyrus is flaunting her hot body on the new steamy cover of Cosmopolitan. Inside the magazine, she discusses her new-found confidence and her hunky fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

In regards to ranking the most important things in her life, the 20-year-old says, “Number one is my relationship with Liam. That’s what I feel the most confident in,” adding, ”because you never know; there’s so much hype behind my new record, but it could come out and, worst-case scenario, everyone f**king hates it.”

“I think the best thing I could have done was take those two years off to really live, because now people don’t think of me as who I was on the TV show,” Cyrus told the magazine about her Disney past. “Some of the worst things that have happened in my career, like things getting leaked, have actually been what’s best for me, because people knew when I was on that show that I was really growing up. I never faked anything. I never played the Disney game of smiling and being a princess and then suddenly having a hard time, saying, ‘That isn’t who I really am.’”

Miley Cyrus got a special friend her 20th birthday. The animal rights activist was gifted a pig by none other than PETA.

But don’t worry! They didn’t literally hand her a pig. They sponsored a little piglet named Nora in the singer and actress’ name. Sweet Nora is a resident at Kindred Spirits Sanctuary, a farm in Ocala, Fla., that provides a safe home to “abused or neglected animals such as pigs, cows, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, horses, and donkeys.”

“Miley proved her affection for pigs when she retweeted a PETA action alert to her 10 million followers asking them to urge Walmart to ban its suppliers from cruelly confining pigs to tiny metal-barred gestation crates for months at a time,” PETA said on its website.

“And the singer’s compassion for animals doesn’t stop there. She lavishes love on her rescued dogs and consistently encourages people always to adopt and never buy. And she’s striving to rid her diet of dairy products.”

“PETA knew that sponsoring a rescued pig was the perfect birthday present for a young woman who spends so much time encouraging others to help animals,” PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman added. “From promoting animal adoption to speaking up for cows who suffer on dairy farms, Miley never stops letting her millions of fans know what they can do to make the world a kinder place.”

Miley Cyrus debuted a new song and video on her website MileyCyrus.com last night.

The song is titled ‘Look What They’ve Done To My Song’ and was written by Melanie Safka.  It has a folksy feel with some interesting lyrics.

Miley recorded several songs (videos) in her backyard earlier this summer. She released James Shelton’s ‘Lilac Wine’ earlier this year.

It’s an interesting way that Miley is going about releasing some of her new music. It’s organic and feels authentic. Not over produced or with much fanfare although the response has been extremely positive.

The song was originally recorded in 1950 by Shelton. It has been covered previously by Jeff Buckley, Jeff Beck, and Elkie Brooks.

Miley Cyrus shocked the Twitter world when she debuted her new VERY short pixie haircut.

The pop singer started by posting photo of her stylist Chris McMillan preparing to cut off her hair, which was in a bun. She Tweeted, “it’s happening,” followed by, “if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye.”
