Actress Mischa Barton was seen spotted looking healthy and smiling when arriving at JFK Airport with her dog Ziggy. This is her first public appearance since she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Mischa, who was released from the hospital this weekend, is in New York to start filming her new TV show, which was created by fellow actor Ashton Kutcher, titled “The Beautiful Life”. The 23 year-old actress will play a catwalk beauty addicted to pills – in this case, we hope art does not imitate life!

Mischa Barton called 911 to ask for help in a “non-emergency” call that was first reported as excruciating pain due to complications from oral surgery and escorted by the police to the hospital on Wednesday night (July 15).

The 23 year-old actress was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and placed under a 5150 code, which means authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or other, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder (the same code was called on Britney last year!!).

Mischa will be held for 72 hours but police are prohibited from disclosing the information due to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It seems like Mischa’s crazy partying lifestyle has finally taken its toll on her.

Actress Mischa Barton feels confident enough to take her clothes off and show off her rocking body on the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK (May 2009).

On her weight: I still love my pilates and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit. To my female fans: Just be happy and secure with yourself and don’t let other people’s perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life.

On why she doesn’t read gossip blogs: Nearly everything that appears about me on the web is untrue. It really is. But they continue to write it because they know that I’m not going to spend money hiring a lawyer and then suing them. So instead I’ve learnt to take it in my stride, get on with my life and let all that stuff slide off my back.

Actress Mischa Barton recently celebrated her 23rd birthday at Caviar Kaspia restaurant in Paris (Jan 25) and was caught by the cameras on some hot girl on girl action with an unknown girl friend.

We share a lot of the same interests and I really enjoy her company. I guess you can say she’s become my Paris partner in crime!

Mischa is clearly looking for publicity when she should be looking for a job. Besides having someone else doesn’t quite exactly mean you are not into girls. Mischa just said she got someone else keeping her occupied – could be a boy or a girl. I don’t understand what the big deal is!! Lesbian is the new black in Hollywood!! It’s HOT!

Actress Mischa Barton spent her holiday season in a bikini at the beach. We are so jealous!! She shares some bikini photos in the warm waters of Goa’s beautiful beach and shares her different Christmas experience with her fans on her official website.

Mischa says: “The ocean there was so beautiful and warm I didn’t want to get out. I would swim all day, ate mostly a vegetarian diet and bought some beautiful things from the vendors I bargained with — jewelry, saris, you name it.”

“Christmas was certainly different this year, as I usually ski during the holiday. But the Christmas display in Goa was beautiful.”

Mischa Barton had a little mishap after a fashion show in London last night.  She was getting into her cab when her dress fell down and exposed her left breast.  Mischa seems to often have bad luck (perhaps intentional) of these things happening to her.

The star’s breast apparently slipped out of her red-and-gold satin evening gown as she jumped into a taxi after the Fashion Relief show at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, London, the Daily Mail reports.

The 22-year-old former “O.C.” star quickly covered herself up and buried her head in her hands as the car pulled away, photos show.

The cover cracks me up as being so late 80’s/early 90’s.  Mischa in all denim, with a cowboy hat, smoking a daisy.  What is that all about?

Since the cancellation of the O.C. Mischa has been arrested for DUI/pot possession and endured embarrassing photos highlighting the cellulite on her thighs.

Former teen queen Mischa Barton was sentenced to three years of probation (unsupervised) after agreeing to a plea deal with prosecutors in Los Angeles according to PEOPLE.

The former O.C. star pleaded no contest to drunken driving in a plea deal reached with prosecutors and which will spare her jail time.

In addition, a marijuana possession charge against Barton was dropped (due to the small amount found, a source told to PEOPLE).

Another charge of driving without a license was reduced to an infraction.

She also will attend alcohol education classes in addition to paying fines related to the incident.

Barton was arrested on December 27th after cops noticed her severe swerving while behind the wheel and failing to use her turn signal.

Actress Mischa Barton was pulled over back in December and cops quickly discovered she was drunk and in possession of marijuana. Today she was formally charged by prosecutors on four misdemeanor counts.

The former “O.C.” star was pulled over in West Hollywood, Calif. last year. Cops said she “was seen straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn.” When deputies pulled her over, they determined that she “was an unlicensed driver and was driving while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.”

She should be safe. In L.A. you usually don’t serve any jail time until your 7th or 8th DUI.

Mischa Barton was paid thousands of dollars to appear and host a party in Las Vegas this weekend. Perez is reporting that she has now backed out and canceled her appearance after being arrested this week for DUI, possession of narcotics, and driving on a suspended license.

We’re told that the former O.C. star was paid a pretty penny for her appearance - in the tens of thousands.

But, now, sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Barton has pulled out and will not be kicking it in Sin City.

Actress Mischa Barton is the latest Hollywood celebrity to be busted for driving drunk.  She was also charged with possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended license.

The former “O.C.” star was pulled over early this morning around 2:45 AM as she was driving in West Hollywood, Calif., and is still in custody, being held on $10,000 bail. The Inmate Info doc called her “Mischa Burton.”

Barton, in case you forgot, played a rich high school girl on the O.C.  Lynnwood Prison is becoming a home away from home for celeb-idiots who continue to drink and drive.

Clothing company Bebe has got rid of Mischa Barton and replaced her with model/actress Rebecca Romijn.

She said: “The company is so great and (Bebe company founder) Manny (Mashouf) is such a fantastic man.

“I love their new dresses and i think it’s going to be a great year; i’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

The writing has been on the wall for the past year and today Fox finally announced that they are canceling the once popular The OC. 

After killing off their most famous character, turning Summer into a hippie, and forcing Ryan to fight just about everybody who looked at him the wrong way, the folks behind “The OC” have finally thrown in the beach towel.

“The OC” was an overnight sensation when it first debuted in 2003. But darker plotlines led to a departure from what the show did best — lighthearted comedy mixed with teen angst — culminating in the death of Mischa Barton’s character last season, and now the death of the series.

The final episode will air February 22nd. The show dominated the ratings just two seasons ago.  I saw a few episodes starting last year and I was never too impressed by ‘The O.C.’  I am sure Fox has something sexier and more sensational in the wings to replace it.
