Nick Lachey opened up about his divorce with Jessica Simpson on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live while he visited with the rest of his 98 Degrees bandmates.

While playing host Andy Cohen‘s signature game “Plead the Fifth,” Jessica’s father Joe Simpson came up. Cohen asked, ”What is the best thing about no longer having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law?”

Nick didn’t answer immediately, but his brother Drew Lachey did when he yelled, ”Everything!”

“What is the best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law … I don’t have to play grab a–– under the table on Easter Sunday,” Nick said to Cohen, laughing with his answer.

“I am blushing!” Cohen said.

“Our publicist is freaking out right now,” Drew, 36, told the host.

Cohen went on to ask if Lachey still watches Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, the reality show that featured the couple’s first years of marriage. ”Wow. Is this the part where I can plead the Fifth? It’s been years [since I've talked to Jessica]. Years. Honestly, probably six years,” Lachey said. “It was like another lifetime ago.”

“I have not. As you can imagine, that’s not popular viewing in my house. We don’t sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs,” he said.

Lachey ultimately divorced Simpson in 2005. He married Vanessa Minnillo in 2011, and welcomed a son with her in September 2012.

Vanessa Minnillo is expecting a baby boy in September, but by the looks of her baby bump, he could pop out any day now!

Minnillo, 31, and her husband Nick Lachey, 38, shared a photo on Twitter of her bare bump Wednesday. ”My Happiness . . . My Family! Ah, my Boys!” she wrote.

The dad-to-be told reporters in Tuesday that he and his wife are excited to meet their new bundle of joy. ”We’re just excited to move onto the next phase and meet this little guy,” he said. “You see him in sonograms and you feel him move — you just want to meet him!”

One thing’s for sure: that’ll be a beautiful baby boy.

“Trust me, it would make me very happy,” The Sing-Off host said. “Family is very important. It’s very important to us, and I’m sure that will be around the corner.”

In fact, Vanessa Lachey describes herself as a “host by day, wifey by night, wanna-be Mommy all the time” in her official Twitter page. Do not be surprised when Vanessa and Nick finally announce they will become parents.

Tuesday, TLC announced plans to televise Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo‘s wedding on a special called ”Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” (working title), which will follow the couple’s planning and the actual ceremony.

The special, which will air a few weeks after the actual date, will feature footage the couple’s joint showers, the bride’s hunt for the perfect wedding gown, and all the little plans to make their dream wedding come true. The series will culminate with “VIP access” to their ceremony, the details of which are being kept secret to keep the day special for the couple and their friends and family.

Lachey, 37, and Minnillo, 30, said:

“We’re lucky to have such passionate and loving fans, and we though partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we’re on with all the people that support us and our relationship.”

Lachey famously broadcast his first wedding and the honeymoon phase of his marriage with Jessica Simpson on MTV, which lasted from 2002-2006. Days after he announced his engagement to Minnillo, Simpson announced her engagement to NFL player, Eric Johnson.

Rumor has it that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo will become parents this year!

They don’t have a wedding date quite yet, but the newly-engaged couple might have a bun in the over. Minnillo told PEOPLE recently:

“Things happen,”

“And if a blessing comes before the wedding then that’s exactly what it is, [a blessing].”

Hmm..suspicious! If she is pregnant, we may not know it until she starts to show. Vanessa says she will continue to work if and when she does get pregnant.

“I would love to have children and work,”

“I definitely don’t want it to slow me down. I’m always going to be, ‘Go, go, go.’ And I’m going to be pregnant, fat and happy through it all.”

Nick Lachey let it slip to Rachel Ray this Wednesday that he and his new fiancee Vanessa Minnillo “may be married in Tuscany” this New Years — but Vanessa quickly set the record straight that that isn’t the case.

When asked about it Wednesday night, Vanessa told Hollyscoop:

“He was joking,”

“We’re not getting married in Italy.”

“I think that’s the game of telephone. He said it sarcastically and it was misconstrued in print. We’re not [getting married in Italy], but that would be a great idea.”

At least we know who wears the pants in this relationship.

So if the MTV host and former boybander won’t tie the knot in 2010, when will it happen?

Vanessa says:

“I feel irresponsible for not having a date, but someone made a great point: When you’re dating, everyone is always asking when you’re getting engaged,”

“When you’re engaged, everyone is always asking when you’re getting married. When you get married they start asking when you’re going to get pregnant. Instead of keeping up with the Jones’, we’re just enjoying it.”

A great point! A relationship isn’t about the milestones, and it shouldn’t be for anyone other than the two of you.

Singer Nick Lachey, who was previously married to Jessica Simpson, and his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo are officially engaged to be married after dating for more than four years. The 36 year-old went down on one knee to pop the question near a beach in California on Thursday (November 4).

Vanessa and Nick briefly split last year, but they weren’t separated for a long time before falling into each other’s arms again. The lovebirds are allegedly very happy with their relationship. The 29 year-old recently revealed the two showers together twice a day to maintain a certain level of intimacy.

“It’s not a sexual thing and it’s not a romantic thing,” Vanessa said. “It just becomes an intimate thing … I’ve had some of my most intimate conversations with him in the shower.”

“When I’m hungry, I’ll eat. When I’m not hungry, I won’t. I’m not really that much of a calorie counter, but I do think about it. I make sure I’m working out to make sure I feel good about myself.”

“I’m from Texas, I like everything fried, which is the really unfortunate thing. My relationship with food? I want it when I’m sad. When I’m happy, I don’t think much about it. But I do like to go out on a date for a good dining experience. It’s important not to say, ‘I can’t have this’ because then I obsess about it.”

It wasn’t fate that led Jessica Simpson to run into her ex-husband Nick Lachey at dinner the other night, it was severe unluckiness!

Jessica was on a dinner date with her boyfriend Eric Johnson on Thursday night at The Red O in Hollywood when she bumped into Nick Lachey, also on a date, with his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

Luckily, there was no crazy scene, a source said:

“They didn’t interact,”

“They didn’t even come to face-to-face with each other.”

On the contrary.

Though they’re not in contact any more, Nick is happy for Jessica:

“He wishes [Jessica] the best.”

Phew! Conflict averted.

Glad Jessica and Nick were able to find people they could be happy with, despite their marriage not working out.

Celebutant Jessica Simpson, once upon a time known for being a pop singer, told the gals of The View this morning that there is no way that former boyfriend John Mayer will nipple on her ‘sexual napalm’ again.

Asked if she’s spoken to Mayer, 32, since he likened her to “sexual napalm in a Playboy interview,” Simpson said she hadn’t, and then added with a laugh: “And he’ll never have this napalm again.”

Simpson went on to say that Mayer’s comments have brought a lot more glances, sexual stares, and mental undressings of her at restaurants and in public.

The singer and actress, whose new showThe Price of Beauty premieres Monday night on VH1, says she’s still feeling the effects of Mayer’s comments. “I’ll walk into a restaurant or something, and I notice that more men are looking at me, but I feel like they’re undressing me,” she says. “So, it’s a little bit embarrassing.”

Someone should tell Jessica that men have been looking at her that way for years, every since her boobs blossomed above her IQ, and she started wearing low cut shirts down to her belly button.

Jessica also stated, “I thought he was stupid for breaking up with me.”  I have to agree with Jessica since Mayer’s comments about how freakishly good she is in bed.  Mayer with from ‘Sexual Napalm’ to Jennifer Aniston…yikes!

Mayer’s comments, albeit perhaps tacky and immature, were the best thing to happen to Jessica’s career since Nick Lachey.

Simpson denied that she is dating Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins.
