Reality TV star Nicole Richie was in a car accident late today in Beverly Hills when she was rear ended by a wreckless paparazzi.

Sources on scene say Richie is claiming she’s in pain, but will not go to the E.R. — instead she told authorities she will see her own private doctors.

We’re told the driver of the other car is being cited for being an unlicensed driver and his car is being impounded.

Richie gave birth to her and husband Joel Madden’s second child just last month. No Children were reportedly in the car with Nicole at the time of the accident.

Former reality star Nicole Richie has just announced on her official website that she finally gave birth to her second child, a healthy baby boy named Sparrow James Midnight Madden on early Wednesday (September 9).

Nicole wrote: “In the middle of night, the very early hours of September 9, 2009 Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.

“He weighs 7lbs 14oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.”

Nicole and longtime boyfriend Joel Madden already have a daughter Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden, who was born in January 2008. Interesting baby names! Nicole and Joel must be big fans of “Pirates of the Caribbean” or didn’t anyone notice, baby Sparrow was named after Captain Jack Sparrow?? Right!?!

Stylish momma Nicole Richie, who is expecting her second child, has decided to launch a clothing line for pregnant women. The fashionista wants her maternity line to be simple, comfortable and flatter the women’s figure.

Nicole, who has already launched a successful jewelry line “The House of Harlow”, and her growing baby bump were seen out and about running errands in Hollywood yesterday (March 24).

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden joined the herds of celebs on the red carpet for The Art of Elysium 2nd Annual Heaven Gala last night. While it was nice to see Joel all snazzed up, I found the look a little dark. He donned a black tuxedo with a black shirt, a black coat, a black vest and black gloves. The only thing of “color” was a cream necktie, and he didn’t even take the time to shave.

But his beautiful baby’s mama, Nicole, looked like a dreamy angel in a long, chiffon A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her hair was loosely pulled back with braids surrounding her head and pieces falling in her face. Her look seemed effortless- though the “girls” could have definitely used a little pick-me-up!

Even though they always seem so mismatched, I love this couple together. They really appear to be in love with each other and their baby girl. Good for them!

Nicole Richie’s been doing a lot of shopping without baby Harlow these days. She was first spotted bringing the sexy hippie look back on New Year’s Day as she grabbed some lunch in Hollywood. Yesterday, she and boyfriend Joel Madden sported almost matching outfits leaving Chanel- both wearing fedoras, chains, layered tops and black jeans. Nicole kicked up the hot factor by finishing off the look with some rockin’ black gladiator heels.

I love this couple, and I hope they make their union official one day and get hitched. Keep bringing on the cool new style trends, Nicole!!

Actress and recent-mom Nicole Richie has filmed her part as a guest-star on the upcoming NBC show Chuck.  Nicole is in a fight scene and even got to tote a gun and point it at people.

Former party girl Nicole Richie is slowly getting back to work after giving birth to baby Harlow at the beginning of the year. She has been busy with the her own jewelry line and baby clothing line but Nicole still had time to guest star on NBC’s spy series Chuck.

Motherhood has been good to Nicky.  She seems a lot more mature and grown up.  And you never know, her career might really blossom due to that.

Nicole Richie lost more weight today at one time than she ever has in her life before.  Richie and husband-to-be Joel Madden are the parents of a brand new baby girl.

Nicole Richie has given birth today at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. She had a baby girl, and she and beau Joel Madden have named her Harlow Winter Kate Madden, and she weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz.

Paris Hilton has told PEOPLE magazine that she wants to have babies so she can have play dates with on-again/off-again best bud Nicole Richie.  Richie is expecting her first child with rocker Joel Madden in January 2008.

Nicole and I have been playing together since we were two years old,” she told PEOPLE at the Nissan Live Sets One Year Anniversary Party. “I was just telling her, ‘I want a baby so that our babies can play together.’”

Still, Hilton admits, she has a few things to take care of first – like finding a man! “I don’t have a boyfriend right now,” the Simple Life star insisted. “But I would love to start a family.”

I have never been a fan of mandatory birth control but my beliefs are quickly changing.

Nicole Richie, pregnant with boyfriend Joel Madden’s baby, had her celeb baby shower yesterday in Beverly Hills. A baby shower thrown in part by Paris Hilton is so amusing on so many levels.

About 90 people attended the Beverly Hills shower, organized by celebrity party planner Mindy Weiss, hosted by Richie’s mother Brenda, and thrown by her sister Sophia and friends Paris Hilton and Masha Gordon.

And while Richie has not revealed whether she’s having a boy or a girl, some of the gifts offered a clue.

From NoMi boutique in L.A., guests picked up a pair of $50 baby sneakers for a boy, and a $50 Tummy T Jack maternity shirt with a picture of a boy on the front.

Pregnancy and an overcrowded jail got Nicole Richie out of the pen after only serving 82 minutes behind bars.

Accompanied by her lawyer and boyfriend Joel Madden, the five-months pregnant Richie entered the jail in Lynwood, Calif., at 3:15 p.m. for booking, listed at 5′1″ and 105 lbs. She was processed into the system and released at 4:37 p.m., a sheriff’s statement said.

“Miss Richie was cooperative during the process,” the statement said.

The statement said she was released “based on her sentence and federal court guidelines.” Under the current sheriff’s policy, non-violent female offenders sentenced to 30 days or less are booked and released within 12 hours.

Richie was “treated in the same manner as other inmates with a similar sentence,” the statement said.

This is the right call in this situation.  You don’t want women that are harmless and four months pregnant in an overcrowded jail.  If she happened to lose the baby while locked up, it wouldn’t be good at all.

She will be on probation for three years.  So she will have to be on her best behavior or she will get the Hilton treatment next time around.

If you can believe what rockers say to their crowds during concerts then we can believe that Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden popped the big question to Nicole Richie.  It would be the third big event in Nicole’s life this year: pregnancy, jail, and engagement.

Sources who attended the Hot 99.5 concert last night featuring Good Charlotte at the Clarendon Ballroom tell us Joel told the crowd he had just proposed to his jail-bound baby mama on Thursday.

Regis Philbin on Regis and Kelly accidentally leaked it that Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden has bought an engagement ring for his pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie. (see the video here)

“You’re going to present her, maybe, with – did I hear the right thing, or should I not even talk about this?” said Philbin.

“Uh, what?” deadpanned Madden.

“A little ring, or something,” said Philbin.

“I was hoping it would be a surprise, but now –” answered Madden.

Madden’s reaction quickly forced Philbin spin on his heel and ask the frontman’s identical twin (and the band’s lead guitarist), Benji, whom he was dating.

Way to go Regis! Nice fumble! Hopefully your Irish will do a better job holding onto the football this fall than you did with Joel’s info.

Nicole Richie will serve her jail term at the same prison, Lynwood, where former BFF Paris Hilton servered her 23 day sentence.

Richie had the option of serving her 90 hours at a “private jail.” These facilities are nicer than Lynwood, for sure, but there’s a downside. When an inmate does time at a private facility, they must serve out the entire sentence. At Lynwood, the Sheriff could turn a 4-day sentence into a revolving door, because of the overcrowding problem.

Even if Nicole didn’t go in and out, she would do much less than 4 days. She could enter Lynwood late one evening (as Paris did) and she’d get credit for an entire day. On top of that, there’s “good time” credit that would shave a significant portion of the sentence.

So it looks like Nicole could serve possibly just one full day in the slammer.

It has finally been confirmed.  Nicole Richie told Diane Sawyer in an interview to air later this week on ABC that she is in fact pregnant.

“Yes I am. We are. I’m almost four months,” she tells ABC News’ Diane Sawyer in a new interview airing on Good Morning America Thursday and on 20/20 Friday.

Richie, 25, confirms that the baby’s father is rocker boyfriend Joel Madden, 28, whom she’s been dating since earlier this year.

It will be the first child for both Nicole and Joel.  Hopefully Nicole will get the proper nutrition and have a healthy child.  She has the potential to be a great mother.

Richie agreed last week to a plea deal to serve four days in jail for her second DUI offense.

Socialite Nicole Richie has been sentenced to four days in jail in connection with her second DUI arrest.

A court commissioner sentenced Richie to serve four days in the City or County Jail (her choice!) — she got credit for a fifth day, for the six hours she served after being busted.

Richie was also fined $2,048, was ordered back to school for 21 days to an alcohol education course and on three years probation.

Richie must report to serve her time by September 28.

She is due in January with her first child.  Her fiance Joel Madden accompanied her to the courthouse proceedings.

Nicole Richie is admitting her guilt over her second DUI and will serve jail time since it was her second conviction.

Sources tell TMZ Richie will plead either guilty or no contest to DUI. She will appear before the Court Commissioner, who will sentence her on the spot. Sources say Richie will receive a minimum sentence of five days in jail. By law, anyone with two DUI convictions must serve at least five days. This conviction will be Nicole’s second DUI.

Richie appears to want to put the arrest behind her so she can focus on her pregnancy.  She and boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting their first child together.
