Socialite Peaches Geldof has officially announced she is expecting her first child with fiancé Thomas Cohen. The expectant couple dated for over a year before they announced their engagement last month.

Peaches’ rep said in a statement: “Peaches Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child. Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby’s arrival.”

Last month, when Peaches spoke of her engagement, the 22 year-old claimed she didn’t plan to get married for a couple of years. Will Peaches and Thomas change their plans after the big pregnancy revelation?

Peaches really doesn’t have a good experience with marriages. She was previously married to Max Drummey for only six months before they separated back in 2008. Max only filed for divorce on April 2011.

Peaches, who is currently dating actor Eli Roth, and Maxwell tied the knot at one of those cheap chapels in Las Vegas back in 2008 and split only six months later. They both seemed to have forgotten to file for divorce until Maxwell finally realized they were never going to reconcile.

Maxwell cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. There should be an “I was too drunk to think straight when I got married” option. Peaches will soon be free to marry Eli. Congrats!

A source said: “They are confident this is the real deal. They want a wedding on a New York rooftop and plan to invite about 50 friends including Quentin Tarantino. Apart from the trendy Manhattan venue it will be a traditional Jewish ceremony in keeping with Eli’s family faith. They have been trying to keep it a secret.”

Peaches’ lawyer has released the following statement to deny this unidentified man’s ludicrous claims:

“The allegations that our client was carrying and injecting heroin are also denied, our client having consumed alcohol with the other individual leading to the ‘highs’ described and portrayed in the photographs. The evident unreliability of the source emerges from the also fictitious description of their trip to a scientology center,” wrote Peaches’s lawyer.”Had you undertaken any checking or research before making this posting you would have learned that nobody who is not a member of that organization is permitted into such buildings.”
