Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford, who was arrested for pot a couple of months ago, and newly single actress Rachel Bilson, who recently dumped her fiancé Hayden Christensen, were caught getting cozy and flirty during a special dinner with friends at The Lion in New York City last week (September 10).

“The two arrived together,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style’s Scene Queens. “There was lots of flirting going on between the two of them; the attraction was obvious. They kept giggling. It was very sweet.”

Chace and Rachel reportedly left the dinner together, but they were also seen at Karl Lagerfeld‘s party at the Soho Chanel boutique the night before. The 29 year-old actress seems to have been taking advantage of her single status to test the waters. Rachel was also romantically linked to Reese Witherspoon’s ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

“They’re trying to keep a low profile but they’re definitely dating,” a source close to the new couple tells Hollyscoop. Both Rachel and Jake are determined to keep their relationship private by keeping a low-profile and not stepping out in public together.

Jake and Rachel are perfect for each other. They will look great together and make beautiful babies if they ever decide to settle down. Actress Rachel Bilson and her actor fiancé Hayden Christensen have finally officially called off their engagement after rumors the two were on a break to evaluate their relationship started in June 2010.

“Yes, the engagement is off,” the actress’ rep confirmed. Hayden and Rachel reportedly broke up because they could not maintain a long distance relationship. She primarily lives in Los Angeles, while Hayden lives in Canada. They were not willing to move to make things work.

Rachel and Hayden met on the set of “Jumper” back in 2007. They hit it off and got engaged in December 2008, but only officially announced they were engaged in February of 2009.
