Nude tones of gold and silver seemed to be the trend of this year’s Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala, which was held in honor of the late designer Alexander McQueen. And it just so happened that three of Hollywood’s top starlets came to the event wearing similar long-sleeved, sleek gowns: Sarah Jessica Parker, Renee Zellweger and Gwyneth Paltrow.

SJP wore a silver McQueen, appropriate for the event, I’d say. Zellweger went with the ever-so-classic Carolina Herrera, donning a gold shimmery number with a scooped back. While Paltrow opted for a backless Stella McCartney number.

So who wore it best? I’m going with SJP. The gown fits her perfectly, her hair looks fabulous, and hello? She’s wearing McQueen to a McQueen event. Doesn’t get classier than that! A+, Parker.

As for Zellweger, I’d give her a close B. I’m not as crazy about this color on her pale skin. And Paltrow, a C. She missed the mark this time. It’s ill-fitting and how many times can you do the long-sleeved and backless thing? Have more fun! You have the body of a supermodel.

Actress Renée Zellweger was involved in a minor car accident in Beverly Hills Monday morning (August 31). Renée’s car was hit by another car performing an illegal U-turn, was towed from the scene and she left the scene in a cab.

“A green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn in front of her silver Mercedes,” Lieut. Tony Lee tells People. “Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere.”

Renée got a shattered headlight and one of the cars lost a license plate but there were no injuries and the accident was handled politely by the actress and the driver who caused the accident.

That is probably why she always looks like she’s sucking on a sour slice of lemon.

When Zellweger stopped by David Letterman a couple of nights ago, she addressed the Tracey Ullman impersonation of her on Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union show, and Renee did not seem to find much humor in it.

She ‘joked’ that if she had a twin brother who dressed in drag, he’d look like Tracy.

Renee Zellweger is our ‘Worst Dressed Celeb of the Day‘.  The fluctuating actress moved to New York City this month and apparently believes she is now Cat Woman by the look of her wet suit rain jacket.  Not the worst fashion disaster of all-time but the worst for today.

A good stylist in Hollywood can be a career maker and even make you look like Angelina Jolie. On the new cover of LIFE magazine Renee’ Zellweger looks like a super model in the mode of Angelina Jolie.

In my previous life I modeled all over Greece, Italy and Milan with some of the most beautiful women on the planet. Some were actual beautiful while others had access to the best stylists who would turn their ‘average girl next door’ appearance into cover girl looks.  It just goes to show the power of having a good stylist.
