Rob Lowe is the star covering this month’s issue of Vanity Fair. He spoke with the magazine about his life as an actor and even shared excerpts from his soon-to-be released book “Stories I Only Tell My Friends.”

On meeting Charlie Sheen as a teenager:

“In his book, Lowe writes that Sheen in his early years was “one-of-a-kind … a Polo preppy clotheshorse in a world of O.P. shorts and surf T-shirts” and “a wonderful mix of nerd … and rebel.” “At my house we are still saving money by not buying desserts,” Lowe says, comparing his life to that of the Sheens, who lived nearby. “At Charlie’s house, it’s never-ending Häagen-Dazs, brand-new BMWs, a lagoon pool with underwater tunnels, and a lit, professional-grade basketball half-court.””

On his first confrontation with Tom Cruise during his audition for The Outsiders:

“He’s open, friendly, funny, and has an almost robotic, bloodless focus and an intensity that I’ve never encountered before.” In New York for the second round of auditions, Lowe finds that Cruise is “already showing traits that will make him famous; he’s zeroed in like a laser.” “We check into the Plaza Hotel. I am taken aback at the luxury and spectacle of the lobby…. The front desk tells us we will be sharing rooms,” Lowe writes of the actors’ arrival in the Big Apple. “In a flash, Cruise is on the phone to his agent, Paula Wagner. ‘Paula, they are making us share,’ he says…. The rest of us are staggering around like happy goofs….. ‘O.K., then. Thank you very much,’ he says like a 50-year-old businessman getting off the phone with his stockbroker. ‘Paula says it’s fine.’ ”

He even remembers Diane Lane being on set, saying:

“At only 16, she already seems like a legend.… I watch as she breezes by with her chaperone. With all the teen testosterone on this movie, she’ll need one!”

There was rumor, after the Charlie Sheen drama began, that Rob Lowe would take his place on Two and a Half Men. Lowe and Sheen must have a good relationship, because the usually crazy Sheen responded to the rumors, saying:

“He’s a buddy of mine, he’s a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its a** because I still get [paid].”

Laura Boyce, the second nanny accusing Rob Lowe and his wife of sexual harassment, also babysits for reality TV star Shanna Moakler and Moakler is backing her employee.

“I’ve been friends with Laura for the past ten years – before she was my nanny – and I completely stand by her.”

Boyce appeared in at least one episode of Meet the Barkers, the MTV show about the unconventional family life of Moakler, a former Playboy centerfold, and her now ex-husband Travis Barker.

Boyce, 37, who worked for the Lowes for seven months in 2007, claims that Rob’s wife Sheryl created an “extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment…behaving in a… perverted, disgusting and crude manner.”

At a press conference Thursday, Boyce’s attorney Gloria Allred argued that Rob Lowe, as an employer, was equally liable for any alleged sexual harassment that occurred on the job.

(In her lawsuit, Boyce does not accuse Lowe of any direct sexual harassment.)

Larry Stein, the Lowes’ attorney, said Boyce’s lawsuit “seeks to drag (Lowe’s) wife and children into the fray” with “false allegations.”

Sheryl Lowe also spoke out against Boyce in a statement Thursday, calling Boyce’s allegations “sickening.”

Lowe, 44, and Sheryl, 46, preemptively filed lawsuits against Boyce and two other ex-employees on April 7. They claim they’re the victims of an attempted $1.5 million blackmail scheme, led by their former nanny, Jessica Gibson, 24.

A deposition of the actor and his wife is set for May 19 and 20, respectively, in Santa Barbara, Calif., where they live.

Well there you have it. If Shanna Moakler says it happened, then it must have happened.

Brothers & Sisters actor Rob Lowe is facing sexual harassment and wrongful termination charges from a second nanny according to PEOPLE.

Laura Boyce filed a lawsuit Wednesday also alleging wrongful termination, among other claims, Allred tells PEOPLE.

Lowe and his wife Sheryl claim they are victims of a $1.5 million dollar extortion ploy.  Boyce is the second nanny this month (Jessica Gibson) to make sexual harassment and wrongful termination charges against Rob Lowe and his wife.
