Tuesday, Kate Middleton stepped out on a charity visit in style.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Art Room facility at Rose Hill Primary School, in an economically disadvantaged section of the university town of Oxford, where she taught 7 and 8-year-olds about how to overcome low self-esteem by using art.

“She is an independent, highly-intelligent young woman who wants to make a difference,” said Juli Beattie, the Art Room’s founder-director.

“Miss Catherine,” as the kids called her at school, wore a $600 Orla Kiely walnut-colored “Birdie” wool jacquard coat-dress with brown suede ankle boots.

When a little boy gave Middleton a stuffed dog, she asked his name. He said it didn’t have one, so she suggested they name him Lupo after her own dog.

A royal source said, “They liked the name. They like the play on the word for wolf.” The Latin word for wolf is lupus.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s involvement with the scouts in just one of five charities she’ll be working with as a royal. She is officially set to start touring the five charities next month.

Wow. The movie must be really good, if The Royal Highnesses are supporting the movie with their presence. Nah. Spielberg just decided to have a premiere event in aid of “The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry” and he couldn’t have been more honored to meet William and Kate.

Spielberg said, “It’s a very prestigious honour because they represent an entirely new era in British royalty that has the entire world excited. When they came to America, that was one of the most exciting events, I think, that we’ve enjoyed for some time, so it’s such an honour to be here in the UK to be able to meet them and to be able to show them, and all of us, War Horse.”

Life & Style magazine’s latest issue features the Duchess of Cambrige Kate Middleton‘s sister Pippa Middleton, who fears she’s “undateable.”

As the magazine points out, after Pippa attended her seventh wedding ceremony of the year, the 28-year-old told friends she’s worried she’ll never be the one standing at the altar. ”Pippa is scared she’ll never find someone who’ll be able to accept her life,” the friend told Life & Style.

Pippa’s longtime boyfriend Alex Loudon split with her for the second time this year after becoming uncomfortable with her growing fame as the sister-in-law of the future king of England.

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth, has returned home after undergoing emergency surgery over the Christmas holidays.

Philip was airlifted to the hospital after he complained of chest pains. After arriving, doctors performed emergency surgery to insert a coronary stent and relieve a blocked artery.

Kate Middleton Refuses to Participate in Royal Family Boxing Day Shoot

After four days of treatment, Philip was released from Papworth Hospital in Cambridge to begin his trek home to Sandringham House in Norfolk, England. He waved to bystanders as he pulled away from the medical center.

“On departure, Prince Philip thanked the staff at Papworth for the excellent care he has received during his stay,” a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told reporters. “He is very much looking forward to rejoining his family.”

After being pressured by multiple animal rights organizations, Kate Middleton opted to “stay in the background” during the Royal family’s traditional Boxing Day bird shoot.
