Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palinis ready to publish her 400-page memoir titled “Going Rogue: An American Life”, which has been described by her publisher as “her words, her life, and it’s all there in full and fascinating detail”, four months before expected on November 17.
It won’t be easy for Sarah Palin to promote her memoir, which was reportedly ghost-written by her collaborator Lynn Vincent, not only because she is asking for $100,000 per speech but also because “The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot.” Ouch!
Bristol Palin’s baby daddy, Levi Johnston, claims to know why the Grandmother of his son, Sarah Palin, resigned to cash in on her fame and some irrefutable deals. Levi claims he overheard the former Alaska Governor say how nice it would be to be able to take advantage of the lucrative deals offered to her, especially the book deal.
“She had talked about how nice it would be to take some of this money people had been offering us and you know just run with it, say ‘forget everything else,’” Levi said. “I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars.”
When asked about Sarah Palin running for President of the United States, Levi said: “I think she’s a great lady, but after seeing what she did now, you know, leaving Alaska, I would have to say, ‘no.’ Obviously she’s stressed out as governor. I mean moving up to the vice president or president is huge. I just don’t think anymore that she’s cut out for the job.”
Levi, who wants to become an actor, is now using Sarah’s image to promote himself. He should be more concerned with maintaining a good relationship with his baby’s family instead of trying so hard to be relevant.
Palin’s response to Levi’s comments, via her spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton: “It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills.” You gotta love it when they all wash their dirty laundry in public.
The 45 year-old hockey mom, Sarah Palin, who resigned as Alaska’s Governor last week, posed for a sexy photo shoot in her running attire (love those short shorts on Palin!) for the August issue of Runner’s World Magazine.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palinhas just announced she will resign at the end of this month and will not run for a second term as Governor in 2010. The Governor, who was Sen. John McCain’s vice presidential candidate last year, will transfer power to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell.
Sarah Palin via Twitter: “We’ll soon attach info on decision to not seek re-election… this is in Alaska’s best interest, my family’s happy… it is good, stay tuned.” This retirement announcement is taken as a step up for a potential run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. However, a source close to Palin said that she is “out of politics for good.”
David Letterman apologized to Sarah Palin and her two daughters, Willow and Bristol, again, last night on The Late Show (video above). Last week Dave made a joke about Palin’s 14-year old girl having sex with Alex Rodriguez during the game (statutory rape). Letterman has claimed throughout the controversy that he thought the daughter in attendance with Governor Palin was the 18-year old daughter and not the 14-year old Willow.
Dave seemed to truly understand the outrage over his coarse joke and seemed to be somewhat sincere in his apology to the Palin family on Monday night.
“All right, here - I’ve been thinking about this situation with Governor Palin and her family now for about a week - it was a week ago tonight, and maybe you know about it, maybe you don’t know about it. But there was a joke that I told, and I thought I was telling it about the older daughter being at Yankee Stadium. And it was kind of a coarse joke. There’s no getting around it, but I never thought it was anybody other than the older daughter, and before the show, I checked to make sure in fact that she is of legal age, 18. Yeah. But the joke really, in and of itself, can’t be defended. The next day, people are outraged. They’re angry at me because they said, ‘How could you make a lousy joke like that about the 14-year-old girl who was at the ball game?’ And I had, honestly, no idea that the 14-year-old girl, I had no idea that anybody was at the ball game except the Governor and I was told at the time she was there with Rudy Giuliani…And I really should have made the joke about Rudy…” (audience applauds) “But I didn’t, and now people are getting angry and they’re saying, ‘Well, how can you say something like that about a 14-year-old girl, and does that make you feel good to make those horrible jokes about a kid who’s completely innocent, minding her own business,’ and, turns out, she was at the ball game. I had no idea she was there. So she’s now at the ball game and people think that I made the joke about her. And, but still, I’m wondering, ‘Well, what can I do to help people understand that I would never make a joke like this?’ I’ve never made jokes like this as long as we’ve been on the air, 30 long years, and you can’t really be doing jokes like that. And I understand, of course, why people are upset. I would be upset myself.
“And then I was watching the Jim Lehrer ‘Newshour’ - this commentator, the columnist Mark Shields, was talking about how I had made this indefensible joke about the 14-year-old girl, and I thought, ‘Oh, boy, now I’m beginning to understand what the problem is here. It’s the perception rather than the intent.’ It doesn’t make any difference what my intent was, it’s the perception. And, as they say about jokes, if you have to explain the joke, it’s not a very good joke. And I’m certainly - ” (audience applause) “- thank you. Well, my responsibility - I take full blame for that. I told a bad joke. I told a joke that was beyond flawed, and my intent is completely meaningless compared to the perception. And since it was a joke I told, I feel that I need to do the right thing here and apologize for having told that joke. It’s not your fault that it was misunderstood, it’s my fault. That it was misunderstood.” (audience applauds) “Thank you. So I would like to apologize, especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the Governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke. I’m sorry about it and I’ll try to do better in the future. Thank you very much.” (audience applause)
Yesterday, we told you about a group that had set up the website FireDavidLetterman.com to stage a protest outside of the Ed Sullivan theater today to call for Letterman’s head. Will that group show up at 4:30pm ET today as they had planned, and if so how many will be in attendance?
The first apology by Dave was extremely flawed. His apology on Monday night came across as sincere and should in all fairness to all parties bring a close to this ugly controversy.
David Letterman made several very cruel jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter going to a Yankees game during the former VP candidate’s visit to New York City.
During the opening monologue on Tuesday night (June 9), Dave said: “One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game. During the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez” (watch video above). Bad taste? Yes! Funny? Absolutely!
Sarah Palin took this joke very seriously and attacks Dave Letterman by calling him a pervert for making a sexual joke about a minor (wait! I thought Dave was talking about Bristol Palin!) via the following statement:
“Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands–that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.”
The Late Show host presented another one of his funny Top Ten lists “Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip To New York” and said Palin had the style of a “slutty flight attendant” (watch video below the fold).
Dave had the opportunity to clear up the situation and responded to Sarah Palin on his “Late Show” on Wednesday, June 10 (watch video below the fold). David explains he was actually talking about her 18 year-old daughter Bristol Palin, who recently gave birth to baby Tripp and has became a high-profile advocate for abstinence.
Dave said: “We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter [Bristol]… and now they’re upset with me… These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl…. Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No.”

Levi Johnston, father of Bristol Palin’s baby, gave his first interview after breaking up with his baby’s mother and spills the beans on their short intense teenage relationship. Levi talked about how hard it was to be dating the daughter of the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin during her vice presidential campaign.
Levi also made some controversial affirmations like he and Bristol had safe sex “most of the time”, which is clearly not enough to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Levi went further saying Sarah Palin knew they were having sex under her roof. Palin’s family already released a statement about Levi’s appearance on Tyra:
“Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship,” says the statement from the Palin family rep, Meghan Stapleton.
“Bristol’s focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence,” the statement continues. “It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child.”
The statement ends, saying, “Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions.”
Levi’s mom and sister were also there to support the young dad and say the Palins don’t let them see baby Tripp and that Bristol hates Levi’s sister because she is friends with Levi’s ex-girlfriends. Oh, it’s not easy being a teenage mom and having to deal with all these stupid teenage feelings and problems, while trying to raise a child!
Tyra Banks made sure to announce the Johnston family wasn’t paid to come to her show and speak their own version of the truth. I loved this interview, it’s like going back to high school!!

Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, and the father of her infant, Levi Johnston, have broken up according to People magazine.
The split happened “a few weeks ago,” according to a source close to the couple, but it’s unclear what precipitated it. “It was a mutual thing,” adds the source.
“It kind of just happened,” says the source, referring to the split. “I thought they would stick it out. But I think they can work together to raise Tripp.”
“I’m not sure what caused [them to break up] – it’s common knowledge,” says another source who knows the family.
Bristol gave birth to Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnstonback on December 28th of last year. She is currently taking classes in hopes of finishing her high school education.

She added that even though her mother is a staunch Right to Life advocate, “it was my choice to have the baby. It doesn’t matter what my mom’s views are on it. It was my decision.”
“Everyone should wait 10 years,” she told Greta Van Susteren during a FOX News segment Monday night. “I hope people learn from my story. It’s so much easier if you’re married, have a house and career. It’s not a situation you want to strive for.”
It was very brave of Bristol to come out and talk about teen pregnancy and being such a young mother but she is clearly just playing with a living-doll. I don’t think Bristol has actually take in the fact that cute adorable little baby will be her responsibility for life!
“I love it, just seeing him smile and stuff,” she said of her son, who was born Dec. 27. “It’s awesome.
“Everyone helps out,” she added. “I never would’ve thought I would’ve been a mom [a year ago] and I never thought my mom was going to be chosen for vice president [nominee].”

Sarah Palin is back!! We admit we have missed her! The Alaska Governor is the star of John Ziegler’s upcoming documentary “Media Malpractice - How Obama Got Elected” and guess what? Sarah blames it all on the media and unnamed bloggers who scrutinized her life. Governor Palin is now possibly the hottest grandma in US of A after her teenage daughter Bristolgave birth to a baby boy namedTripp Easton Mitchell Johnston.
“You need to know that both Levi and Bristol are working their butts off to parent and going to school and working at the same time,” Palin told PEOPLE in a phone message Wednesday. “They are certainly not high school dropouts.”
The former vice presidential candidate said she wanted to be clear about their continuing work toward high school degrees because any suggestion otherwise “harms Bristol’s reputation and Levi’s reputation and their chances for good work opportunities.”
Bristol intends on getting her diploma through correspondence courses, while Levi left traiditional schooling to be trained as an electrician. The governor added that she hoped Levi would eventually earn a GED, adding, “I respect that Levi is out there working hard.”
Sarah Palin had one heck of a ride in 2008 with her run as John McCain’s running mate for the Presidency of the United States. But 2009 could be a good year for Palin as well if Christmas sales of calendars indicate anything. Palin’s 2009 wall calendar is currently the #1 best seller on Amazon.com’s ‘Office Products: Best Seller’s List.’
Sherry Johnston, mother of Levi Johnston who got Bristol Palin knocked up, was served with a search warrant and arrested shortly thereafter by the Alaska State Police and then charged with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance – typically manufacturing or delivering drugs.
Police also charged her with fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession. An undercover narcotics investigation focusing on Sherry Johnston had been going on “a while” prior to the search and her arrest.
A rep for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, mother of Bristol Palin, said Thursday:
“This is not a state government matter. Therefore the governor’s communications staff will not be providing comment or scheduling interview opportunities.”
Bristol Palin’s due date is today. She and Levi are both 18, and are engaged.
Sarah Palin’s home church was burned down in an apparent case of arson. The governor apologized if her “undeserved negative attention” from the presidential campaign was the reason for the attack.
Damage to the Wasilla Bible Church was estimated at $1 million, authorities said Saturday. No one was injured in the fire, which was set Friday night while a handful of people, including two children, were inside, according to Central Mat-Su FireChief James Steele. He said the blaze was being investigated as an arson but didn’t know of any recent threats to the church. Authorities didn’t know whether Palin’s connection to the church was relevant to the fire, Steele said.
“Whatever the motives of the arsonist, the governor has faith in the scriptural passage that what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good.”
The 1,000-member evangelical church was the subject of intense scrutiny after Palin was named John McCain’s running mate. Early in Palin’s campaign, the church was criticized for promoting in a Sunday bulletin a Focus on the Family “Love Won Out Conference” in Anchorage. The conference promised to “help men and women dissatisfied with living homosexually understand that same-sex attractions can be overcome.”

Seeing as how she rigorously campaigned for Barack Obama, it comes as no surprise that Oprah has nothing nice to say about Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin. And now, Governor Palin has apparently added some fuel to the proverbial fire.
“I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over…I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King],” Winfrey said. “But she didn’t talk to me.”
Oprah even got in a little dig at John McCain’s running mate. “Maybe she’ll talk to me now that she has a [multi-million dollar] book deal,” she said.
Oprah needs to quit drinkin’ that hatorade. Maybe she just doesn’t care to talk to her. Geesh.
The press can’t seem to drop it’s Sarah Palin habit. Here, in this video, Governor Palin pardons a turkey for Thanksgiving. She then goes on to do a follow up interview outside of the slaughterhouse and unbeknownst to her, the workers there start to slaughter turkeys right behind her, in front of the camera and press.
On the bright side she was able to save one of the flightless birds!
Alaska Governor and former VP candidate, Sarah Palin, gave a news conference at the Republican Governors Association yesterday in Miami. She sure knows how to spice up a conference talking about what has changed in her life since their last meeting.
“I had a baby,” Palin said. “I did some traveling; I very briefly expanded my wardrobe; I made a few speeches; I met a few V.I.P.’s, including those who really impact society, like Tina Fey.”
I can’t help but find this woman adorable! I’m sure she winked a lot for all those old grumpy Republican Governors’ delight. After the conference Sarah had some time to relax by the pool. Does she look hot or not for a 44 year-old mother of 5?? PALIN HOT!
Our favorite, most fabulous Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palindoes Saturday Night Live once again. This time, the real Sarah (or was it Tina Fey??) has a special message, mostly bashing the sketches made about her and threatening NBC.
I can’t help but love Sarah Palin! She is a hot fierce woman with a sense of humor who knows what she wants. Maybe that’s exactly what the US needs!! If it was a VP election, I’m sure Sarah would have no trouble winning… well maybe in 4 or 8 years!!
A couple of radio disc jokeys, the Master Inventors, from Canada were able to get through to Governor Sarah Palin while impersonating French president Nicolas Sarkozy. The call starts off very legit before the impersonator goes into asking about the Palin documentary (porno) ‘Nail’n Palin’ as well as his wife being jealous because he had to talk to Palin today. The pseudo Sarkozy then goes into singing a song about ‘Joe the Plumber’ that was allegedly written by Sarkozy’s wife Carla Bruni. Sounds like Palin probably just left her number on her ‘Hot or Not’ account and these DJ’s came across it. It’s a pretty good prank and I expect this You Tube video to reach 5 million views before Tuesday.
Entertainment executives in Hollywood are debating and mulling a TV vehicle of some sort for Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The most talked about ideas so far range from her having a TV talk show like Tyra or Ellen to a reality TV or judge show according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Most industry insiders believe a talk show is the probable route for Palin. Although daytime syndication can be tough sledding, it would take a personality of her stature to break through the clutter, and her folksy red-state persona could be just the thing to connect with this female-skewing audience.
One producer/packager said he has held internal staff meetings about how to best parlay Palin’s appeal and skills, with a daytime talk show the likely vehicle. “I see her less as a variety-show host like Ellen (DeGeneres) and more of a single-topic host like Tyra (Banks), or maybe what Jenny Jones used to be,” said Chris Coelen, CEO of RDF USA.
Win or lose Sarah Palin is going to be around for decades to come. Conservatives in some circles are even secretly hoping for a McCain defeat so Palin can run as the Presidential candidate in 2012. I don’t see Palin on TV. I believe she prefers politics and being in the trenches.
