Singers Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio are set to join The X Factor USA‘s judging panel next season, FOX has confirmed.

Rowland, a former Destiny’s Child member, and Rubio, who was previously a vocal coach on Mexico’s version of The Voice, will join Demi Lovato and show creator Simon Cowell after Britney Spears and LA Reid exit.

Cowell said in a statement: “It’s taken more than a decade, but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”

“I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family,” Rowland, who judged on the UK version of the show in 2011, said. ”It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the States.”

“I love The X Factor! I can’t wait to find the next big music star here in America. I’m so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge,” Rubio said. ”Simon, be careful what you wish for. Let’s see if you are ready to handle me. Empieza la fiesta, amigo!” (“The party’s getting started, my friend!”)

FOX has confirmed that Demi Lovato is set to return as a judge on The X Factor USA next season.

“She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year,” judge and producer Simon Cowell said of Lovato. ”Even though she can be really, really annoying, I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back even during her world tour.”

In a statement, Lovato shared her excitement for season three: “Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel,” she said. ”I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better.”

Khloe Kardashian has reportedly been fired from her hosting duties at The X Factor.

The reality star co-hosted the show with Mario Lopez as her first live hosting gig.

The New York Post is claiming that Lopez will return to the show without Kardashian. “They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe,” a source told the Post.

Sources say Kardashian’s on-air “jitters” are what is keeping the host’s fate unknown. However, Kardashian has admitted that hosting live television has been a struggle for her. ”Just learning how there’s a screaming audience and you don’t yell because the mic is right there,” she said in an interview last month. “I will have an earpiece in my ear, and while I’m trying to read the teleprompter then I have someone counting down … and they’re like, ‘Okay, ask Simon this or that’ … There were so just so many pieces I never knew were involved in live TV.”

In an update from TMZ, a source with the show said the show’s creator Simon Cowell “believes Khloe is definitely strong in certain areas … and not strong in others,” and that no decisions have been made about the upcoming season.

It’s OFFICIAL! Britney Spears and Demi Lovato were announced as the other half of the judges’ panel, joining L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell for the second season of The X Factor US at FOX’s Upfront in New York City on Monday (May 14).

Simon tweeted the first picture of the X judges with the caption, “Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!” Exciting indeed. We cannot wait to see what happens with Britney in front of the camera live on national television!

Brit’s dad Jamie Spears and fiancé Jason Trawick signed the $15 million deal for one season on the troubled pop star’s behalf. However, unlike Demi who was all smiles, Britney actually looked extremely nervous when she spoke.

Britney said: “I am so excited about this whole experience. It’s gonna be so much fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done and I’m ready to find the true star.”

Let’s just say The X Factor got a lot more interesting. How will Britney deal with the pressure? Will she be a good judge/mentor?

It has been confirmed that Simon Cowell and his fiance Mezhgan Hussainy have split.

Zeta Graff, a close friend of Cowell’s, told reporters the rumors of the split were indeed true. “Mezhgan was lovely but it was all too much for Simon,” Graff told The Mirror. “As soon as he hears the words ‘stability’ and ‘future’, I think it all became a bit too much.

“We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close. I don’t really know where I am at the moment,” he said. “I’m vulnerable. It’s not on, it’s not off, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t know if I will ever get married, but I am happy.”

The last thing he needs is someone making him meaner.

Oh Simon Cowell, how I love thee.

X Factor judge/creator/official black t-shirt wearer, Simon Cowell was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and besides talking about what makes his U.K.-born talent competition better than its competitors and giving J-Fal awkward “hand hugs”, the brutally honest Brit was gushing about his love for The Jersey Shore.

Are we surprised?  Is there a celeb out there who hasn’t yet proclaimed their love for Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation?

However, Cowell’s love runs so deep that he made sure that X Factor made a stop in New Jersey so he could scout out some more of that elusive, untapped Jerseylicious talent.

I love Jersey Shore. I mean really I like these people. I love them… I said we have to go to New Jersey because I want to find somebody with a bit of attitude.

Something tells me that Simon’s going to have a rude awakening when he actually has to be in the same room as “these people” from New Jersey.  Can you imagine JWoww and Simon going head-to-head in a battle of bad attitudes?

While appearing on the ever-so-controversial Howard Stern 101 Sirius XM Radio show, former American Idol judge Simon Cowell revealed to the host that he had a ”bizarre kind of blind date” with Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife Denise Richards a few years ago.

Cowell, 51, said he and Richards, 40, were set up by mutual friends to meet at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. “She’s cute,” he said.

So where’s the catch? ”She turned up 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag.” Yikes. Richards gave birth to two daughters with Sheen: Sam, 7, and Lola, 6. She recently adopted her infant daughter Eloise Joni over the summer. Cowell admitted seeing Richards pregnant was “a real turnoff.”

Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is airing out all her dirty laundry in her new book A Helluva High Note. Not only did she admit to being the victim of molestation as a child and date-rape, she’s now calling out Simon Cowell for not acknowledging her presence on the popular reality show.

“I smoked way too many cigarettes (a nasty habit I had previously kicked) outside the set in an attempt to bond with [Simon].”

“But he wasn’t having any of it. I hated myself for seeking his approval. I have never been that person. I say what I feel and I don’t kiss ass for anything, but if I couldn’t get him to acknowledge or engage me, I was going to be in big trouble when the light turned red.”

The singer and songwriter, who has never been afraid to speak up about her departure from American Idol, also insists that FOX had “ulterior motives” for hiring her to do the show:

“My sad take is that they were never interested in me for my accomplishments or how I could really help the contestants,” she revealed.

“As proof of that…I don’t think I was every properly credited or introduced to the viewers. I felt more like I was there to serve ulterior motives and ones that I could never achieve for them.

“I’m willing to bet that in Simon Cowell’s mind, I was Simon’s Fuller‘s girl, and that made me suspect no matter what I said and did. Under those circumstances, I could see why Cowell was less than kind to me at times, but it still hurt.”

I’m disappointed she would write this in a book. It makes her look like a cry baby, and honestly, she’d probably be better off not calling out one of the biggest names in music.
