Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are returning to the reality competition The Voice for the fifth season, NBC has confirmed.

In spring of 2014, Shakira and Usher will return again to the show for the sixth season, with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine staying on for both the fall and spring seasons.

“We locked in a plan several months ago to have the outstanding Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green rejoin Blake and Adam for cycle five, and we’re pleased to announce that the original four coaches are going to be back together in the fall,” Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC said.

He added: “They’re the reason this show was launched so strong for the first three cycles and we owe them a debt of gratitude. And after careful consideration of everyone’s schedules for next spring, we are excited to be returning the current cycle of judges – Shakira and Usher along with Blake and Adam – for cycle six, which will premiere after the Winter Olympics.”

Shakira has announced that she will not be returning to the NBC reality competition The Voice after only one season on the show.

With format changes rumored to be shaking up the competition, former judges Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are reportedly making their way back to the judging seats.

Shakira Expecting First Child

Shakira confirmed her exit with Access Hollywood, saying, “Not for next season, for sure. I have to get back to my baby and give him some love, dedicate some time to him. And also to my new album.”

As to if she’s planning on returning to the show, she said, ”You never know – maybe in the future.”

The Voice finalist Chris Mann became engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress Laura Perloe, after he went down on one knee to propose while they were enjoying a romantic vacation in Napa last month.

The 30 year-old singer and his girlfriend decided to take some time for themselves to reconnect after super busy months of competition on the FOX’s talent show. And one quiet evening Chris decided it was time to take the next step and propose.

“It was very sweet!” Perloe said. “He had just gotten of The Voice — so it had been craziness — and we decided we wanted to take a few days to ourselves and go up to Napa and just kind of relax…Reconnect with each other. We went to one of our favorite Vineyards and he did it the old fashioned way… got down on one knee!”

“It was nice,” Mann agreed. “It was beautiful. It was simple [with] lots of wine. It was our first time alone in six months because it was chaotic. Now it’s fun.”

“We literally had all these plans, and we ended up sitting in our hotel room by the fire and just having some champagne,” said Perloe. “We didn’t even want to go out to a fancy dinner or do anything. It was so nice.”

Laura, who appears in upcoming movie “Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World” starring Keira Knightley and Steve Carell, and the singer have not set a date to elope yet, but they are planning on taking some time to enjoy the new stage of their relationship – the engagement – before committing to an eternity together.

Tony has been performing in clubs, looking for a break. The four judges press their buttons for Tony. Actually Adam Levine was so excited about this performance, he pushed Cee Lo Green’s button.

Obviously, Christina did not recognize her fellow Mouseketeer. So after his blind audition, XTina was told about their shared past and headed backstage to reunite with Tony and meet his wife and kid. Hilariously, Christina reveals Britney Spears had a huge crush on Tony back in the day.

29 year-old Chris Mann, whose mother is battling pancreatic cancer, impressed the judges with his pop opera rendition of “Because We Believe” by Andrea Bocelli during The Voice Super Bowl blind auditions special on Sunday (February 5)- watch video below.

Wow. Just wow. Chris has an incredible, delicious voice, but he’s fate in the competition might be compromised because he is not the typical commercial singer. Cee Lo Green pushed the button first and claimed Chris’ performance was “exceptionally beautiful.”

Chris wants to be able to become the singer that he is instead of trying to shrink his voice to fit a certain style. Christina Aguilera loved it and was mesmerized. “I know what to do with real vocalists,” XTina said.

Jesse has a very touching story. He is a struggling musician who was dumped by his wife because he couldn’t offer her the lifestyle she wanted and ended up homeless with his little girl. Fortunately now, Jesse is able to provide for his kid by taking every singing gig he possibly can.

Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine immediately push the button. Blake Shelton did it too when he realized he was the only dumba$$ actually missing the show. Christina and Cee Lo have an interesting micro-conversation about color.

Cee Lo: “You touched me deep down. From the moment you opened up your mouth, I said that’s my man. That’s my brother.”

Christina: “I was feeling the soul too, even though, you know, I’m not the same color as Cee Lo.”

Cee Lo: “Hey, Christina. Everybody is the same color with the lights off.”

17 year-old country girl RaeLynn, who is actually a big fan of coach Blake Shelton and his wife, dared to perform “Hell On Heels” by Miranda Lambert during The Voice Super Bowl blind auditions special on Sunday (February 5)- watch video below.

RaeLynn was obviously too nervous, but she’s got potential. There’s plenty of room for improvement. Adam Levine was the first to turn his chair, Blake followed. The coaches made interesting and pointless arguments since RaeLynn would always have picked Blake.

Blake said he could make her a country star, while Adam retorted, “Why would you wanna be just a country star? Why wouldn’t you wanna be even bigger than that?” Oh snap! Adam explained she sounded completely different in the beginning of her performance and that’s why he pushed the button.

The Voice’s had enough of Christina Aguilera! The “Dirrty” singer signed up for the second season of the show, but do not expect her to be coming back for the third because the producers cannot wait to get rid of the diva.

A source told X17: “She doesn’t spend time with her contestants like she’s supposed to. She doesn’t participate. She spends most of her time on the set with her boyfriend.”

Coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are also known to take some shots to relax. That would explain why they say things they do sometimes, act weird and embarrass themselves with the most senseless metaphors.

The Voice host, Carson Daly, who must be the only one actually sober on set, recently said he believes the show can go on with new judges. “This show is bigger than any of its coaches or the host,” he said. “This show will live on in perpetuity with many a star in those chairs.”

Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have all signed back on for season 2 of the hit NBC singing reality show competition The Voice.

Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President of NBC, said in a statement:

“Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of The Voice this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning. We look forward to building season two and making The Voice an even greater experience for fans.”

A source told UsMagazine, Aguilera ”is very excited” for the next season of the show. “It has been an amazing experience for her!”

Wednesday night, the show crowned it’s very first winner. Javier Colon, Levine’s contestant, won the competition with a “staggering number of public votes.”

Yippee! I love this show. I would watch it over American Idol any day. It’s fresh, captivating, and competitive.
