Singer Nick Lachey and girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo have decided to call it quits just weeks after Vanessa denied their relationship was in trouble. The model/TV star’s rep told People, “They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another.”

Nick and Vanessa started dating in 2006 right after the singer’s divorce from Jessica Simpson. Despite Vanessa’s rumored romance with “Disaster Movie” co-star Matt Lanter, sources say she and Nick continue to be good friends.

Vanessa Minnillo was spotted out shopping yesterday with a girlfriend in Bel Air, and she looked beautiful as always- from the hips up. But something happened when Nick Lachey’s girlfriend put on her shoes… first of all, she chose hideous furry UGG-style boots. Pop star Nick Lachey and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo are secretly (not so much anymore) getting married this weekend down in the Bahamas.

Pop singer Lachey and his MTV star girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo will be married in a secret ceremony at one of the Carlyle Hotels in the Bahamas this weekend, a source told FOXNews.com’s Pop Tarts columnist Hollie McKay.

Minnillo’s entourage arrived at the dazzling digs Friday afternoon, the source said.

Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson for three years before she filed for divorce two years ago this month.

Lachey and Minnillo set the internet world afire earlier this year when photos of the two having wild and passionate sex in Mexico were leaked online. Mexico was likely nixed as a possible location for the wedding due to their lax paparazzi security.

Photos of Vanessa and pop mess Lindsay Lohan holding knives down their throat and to each others head also brought Ness some unwanted attention this year.

Lawyers for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are trying feverishly to keep photos of the two stars having sex in an array of positions off of the internet and out of the magazines.

TMZ Reports: Racy photos of the hot couple were published in this week’s Life & Style magazine, showing the two engaged in a heavy makeout session in a jacuzzi at a private resort in Mexico. We’re told, however, these photos only show part of the fun the couple had. Arriba!

TMZ has learned that the rest of the roll shows the two not only making out, but having hardcore sex in the hot tub. A source who has seen the photos tells TMZ that they are “Paris sex tape-level scandalous,” and include images of the couple in several different sex positions. That’s hot!

Singer Nick Lachey and MTV host Vanessa Minnillo are officially unofficially living together. The pair have moved into an apartment together in Manhattan.  Rumor has it that Minnillo has already moved into Lachey’s Bel Air home in Hollywood.

On April 15 the couple of one year braved a nor’easter to move into their two-bedroom condo in Manhattan’s new Atelier building.

“Nick carried the huge boxes while Vanessa helped with the small ones,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They were soaked.” (Rapper Eve also lives in the high-rise, which has a basketball court and indoor pool.)

Reps would not confirm reports that Minnillo has also moved into Lachey’s Bel Air pad.

Vanessa recently stated her desire to have many children with Nick.  So perhaps wedding bells aren’t too far in the distance.

Derek Jeter was spotted at Hollywood hot spot Hyde this week with actress Jessica Biel. 

Jeter is no stranger to hotties, having dated Mariah Carey, Scarlett Johannson and Vanessa Minnillo to name a few.

Nick Lachey and his hottie girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo have not been shy of showing their affection for each other in public. The lip-action attraction made its way to New York City over the weekend.

Lachey, in jeans and a button-down shirt, and Minnillo, in a red dress, began the night chatting in their booth with Russell Simmons before Minnillo danced on the banquet to Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Gasolina.”

Nick appears to have his own little private dancer in Vanessa.

When Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” came on at around 12:45 a.m., Minnillo indulged Lachey in what would be the first of several lap dances.

I am sure Ms. Jessica Simpson is loving seeing these two all over each other.
