The late Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and her fiance Nick Gordon have called off their short-lived engagement.

“I feel very honored to be able to honor Whitney in this way and to sing one of her songs. I’ve actually never performed this song before ever. It’s one of the songs I’ve always been like, ‘Leave that alone,’ so it’s nerve-racking for me,” Jordin admitted. “It’s a lot of pressure I’m putting on myself, because I want to do it amazingly, but at the same time, whatever happens, I just want to be able to speak through the music.”

Whitney Houston Family Reality Show To Launch Bobbi Kristina’s Career

Several members of Whitney Houston’s family, including sister-in-law Pat Houston, brother Gary Houston, mother Cissy Houston and daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, signed a deal for a new reality show titled “The Houston Family Chronicles” with Lifetime.

Lifetime’s EVP, Rob Sharenow says, “In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow.”

Perhaps it’s a bit too soon to start exposing the Houston family after the tragic death of the legendary singer. However, Whitney’s mom herself believes this is an opportunity to launch Bobbi’s career as a singer, as well as help with the healing process by “keeping the family as one.”

Should Bobbi pursue a singing career? There’s so much pressure on her to be an incredible singer like her mother was that she is bound to fail. The results could be catastrophic. Is it a good idea to expose the family in a reality show? Probably not.

When asked about his role in Whitney’s downfall and confronted with the rumors he introduced the legendary singer to drugs, Bobby confessed it makes him feel terrible, but claimed he is not to blame, saying he “wasn’t the one who got Whitney on drugs at all.”

“It makes me feel terrible. But I know differently.” Adding, “I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney… I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all…. I’m not the reason she’s gone.”

“I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us instead of time lookin’ through the bubble”—which, for a time, included the reality show Being Bobby Brown—”they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together.”

“And the reality show gave us a wake-up, because we saw each other in—we looked at the bubble and saw ourselves,” Brown says. “We was able to see what other people were saying about us, you know? We was able to see that our drug use had affected our relationship, had affected the love that we felt for each other.”

Ultimately, Bobby confessed he felt betrayed when he discovered cocaine was found during Whitney’s death investigation because he had seen her a week before she died and believed she was completely clean because she looked “really well” and had a “glow about her.”

“Me being off of narcotics for the last seven years…I felt that she was…I didn’t know she was struggling with it still,” the New Edition singer says. “But at the same time…listen, it’s a hard fight. It’s a hard fight to, you know, maintain sobriety that way.”

Bobby Brown’s Tearful Goodbye: “I Love You, Whitney!”

This remains true: Bobby loved Whitney, Whitney loved Bobby and they had a very destructive relationship, which was cemented by their love for their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.

“I can honestly say that I love that woman with…everything that I am,” Brown says. “And I believe she loved me the same way. We wouldn’t have been able to make the most beautiful girl in the world without love. And that’s the truth.”

Can we really blame Bobby for all of Whitney’s mistakes?

Bobbi Kristina Wants To Play Mom Whitney Houston In Biopic

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown apparently thinks there’s only one person who could ever capture the essence and portrait the legendary singer in a potential upcoming biopic. And that person is herself!

With rumors Rihanna is eager to play the “Greatest Love Of All” singer, if a biopic project ever develops, Bobbi thinks she is the best woman for the job. Bobbi appparently feels that if Easy E’s son played his father in a movie, she can do this too.

Bobbi probably knew Whitney better than anyone else, but I do not think this is a good idea at all. The role is too emotionally charged for her. It cannot be healthy.

Whitney Houston’s 19 year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown opened up to reveal she still feels her mother’s presence in an intimate interview for Oprah’s Next Chapter, which aired exactly one month after the death of the legendary singer on Sunday (March 11)- watch video below.

Bobbi might still not be able to listen to her mother singing, but she “hears” her voice talking to her. After Whitney’s death, Bobbi found unexpected comfort in her Atlanta home. “I woke up and I heard her say, ‘All right, come home now. And when I came back home, I felt humble, I felt okay,” Bobbi said.

Whitney Houston Death Premonition: “My Time Is Coming…”

“I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, ‘Keep talking to me. I got you,’” says Brown. “She’s always with me. I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me. She always asked me, ‘Do you need me?’ And I caught myself, out of nowhere, I didn’t even know I said it, I said, ‘I’ll always need you.’”

Of course Bobbi hears her mother’s voice. I believe it works as some sort of conscience that helps you get through the unbearable loss. You think about what they would tell you if they could. Then you hear them speaking in your mind like they are right next to you. And it’s so very comforting.

Bobbi plans on carrying on Whitney’s legacy, which is way too much weight on her shoulders right now, but somehow she is determined to do it. Ironically (or not), Bobbi never actually understood her mother’s impact on the world until the day she was put to rest in Newark, New Jersey.

“I have to carry on the legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”

“I just saw her as mom. The first time I saw her as a worldwide icon was when we went on tour. And the funeral. . . She made an impact not only on a few people. She made an impact on the world.”
