The talented Whitney Houston, who battled drugs and alcohol for many years after meeting and dating ex-husband Bobby Brown, has died at the age of 48 according to her publicist.

Houston died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Whitney is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Kristina, with ex-husband Brown. Houston was married to Brown from 1992-2007.

She had been dating Ray J. Who rose to fame with the infamous sex tape he made with slut-ialite Kim Kardashian.

She won 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, and over 400 other awards in selling over 200 million singles and albums.

Houston appeared in three films, The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, and The Preacher’s Wife.

Her most famous song, ‘I Will Always Love You,’ was the featured song from The Bodyguard. The song was written by the legendary Dolly Parton.

The singer initially entered rehab in 2004, telling Diane Sawyer in an interview:

Whitney Houston’s 17 year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, took to her Twitter to defend herself against the recent allegations that she is following her parents’ footsteps. The National Enquirer published pictures in which Bobbi is allegedly seen snorting cocaine and drinking alcohol.

Bobbi explained via Twitter, “The pictures_ a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes.. But it’s really not what it looks like.. People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this. Thing’s people do these days to hurt others is a shame. All I can do now, is keep my head up high, keep looking towards the lord.”

Blah. Blah. Blah. “Praise the Lord” and “Thank God for my family”, but no actual explanation a rational person would be able to understand. So Bobbi was set up by someone, why (because they are all jealous of her life!) and how (she can’t explain).

All we ask is: dear Bobbi, if you are not snorting cocaine and drinking alcohol with some friends, then, what exactly are you doing in those compromising pictures?

Singer Whitney Houston, who is well known for “cracking” under pressure, may have fallen off the wagon and start doing drugs again, which could compromise the success of her comeback with the album “I Look To You”.

According to National Enquirer, the singer’s recent erratic behavior has been worrying her friends, who believe she slipped back into some of her old habits. Whitney could be already mixing alcohol and her drug of choice, crack cocaine, which is also dangerous to her health.

“Everyone is worried about her,” revealed a source. “Whitney seems to go from being a nervous wreck to being completely out of it in a short period of time – just like she did when she was freebasing and using crack cocaine.

“She is still drinking and with Whitney, alcohol and drugs have always gone hand-in-hand. She’s worked so hard to get back on top. It would be tragic for it to go up in smoke because she can’t stay clean.”

NO! Whitney cannot go back to that place. The Diva’s career has been plagued with problems like drug addiction and an allegedly abusive husband (Bobby Brown). She is more mature now and has a teenage daughter, Bobbi Christina (photos), who looks up to her, so we really hope this isn’t true.

Singer Whitney Houston performed the second single “Million Dollar Bill” off her comeback album titled “I Look To You” on UK’s ‘The X-Factor‘ on Sunday (October 18) – watch updated video below.

Even though everyone is saying Whitney looked high, I actually think it was an energetic performance and that she was really loving and feeling the music. Whitney delivered a fantastic performance and continued to rock the stage even after a minor wardrobe malfunction with her dress strap. Whitney is back!!!

UPDATE: The performance was amazing but according to our sources it seems like the interview afterward was a complete disaster and it was like Whitney “was there in body but not in mind.” (Thanks @jaxheaven)
