Former High School Musical star Zac Efron graces the cover of the latest issue of GQ Magazine (May 2009). I never thought Zac was the swearing type but he definitely gets all work up when asked about his fake eyelashes and possible marriage with his “high school sweetheart” Vanessa Hudgens.

Here are some highlights from Zac Efron’s GQ Magazine interview:

On working in community-theater productions as a kid: “It was the worst possible thing you could do in high school. Kids who are in musical theater tend to be self-confident in a quirky kind of way, and when kids who are really self-conscious see somebody doing that kind of thing, they try to bring them down. I used to do random things, man. When I was a kid? I dyed my hair silver, to look like Sisqó in the ‘Thong Song’ video. I just didn’t give a fuck. I didn’t care.”

On being in the entertainment business: “It’s crazy, all the stuff that happens down there. It’s the American dream. I mean, it’s beautiful. But it’s so fucked up. Up here, everything’s green. And down there, it’s crazy.”

On why he chose to do the movie ‘17 Again‘: “It’s very transitional, y’know? I didn’t wanna alienate the fans that had been around for so long. The fans, who’ve been around for so many years.”

On Britney Spears’ house: “That’s where f—–’ Britney Spears stays. You can’t drive by there because of all the paparazzi.”

On rumors he wore fake eyelashes: “If somebody can find any photo that shows me wearing false eyelashes, I will give them a fucking million dollars. That’s bullshit. (pauses) You know what, dude? A couple of times, when I was young, and I didn’t know what the fuck I was doing—it’s just what happens. Somebody’s there, and it’s their job. And they load you up with makeup. They don’t do the girlie thing, but they, y’know, cover your zits. It didn’t come from a self-conscious place—it was just what everyone did. And since then, people just constantly think I’m wearing makeup. It’s a recurring theme. But fuck, man. I have never worn false eyelashes in my entire life. (blinks a couple of times) That’s all me.”

On rumors he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens were getting married in while Kauai (when he attended his manager’s wedding): “That was such bullshit. I’m definitely not getting married. In this business, you’re either getting married or they want you to be pregnant. I’m not getting married until I’m 40. If ever. The thought never crossed my mind.”

Former High School Musical star Zac Efron attended the French premiere of his new movie “17 Again” at Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris, France. Zac looked gorgeous (très jolie!) and he has the most amazing fashion sense… too bad he failed to check if he had put on a clean shirt and showed off in a stained old worn out blue shirt. I can only think of one thing: I hope he put on a nice clean pair of undies!

A sexy contemplative Zac Efron drives his way to a photo shoot yesterday in Los Angeles. It amazes me how Zac always manages to look so good and composed when he is out and about! I swear he wears make up to go everywhere or how does he manage to look so waxed up all the time?! Definitely a metrosexual guy… I’m just not sure if I like it on Zac!

Just to make sure you don’t get me wrong: a metrosexual is a heterosexual man with a strong concern for his appearance. No, I’m not calling Zac gay but I’m not sure about that either!!

The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California. Our favorite celebs came out with their most fabulous outfits to WOW us at the red carpet. Most did a pretty good job, some have their own glow and others are just losing it (like Sigourney Weaver and Glenn Close).

Absolutely shiny couples at the red carpet were: Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio (not really a couple but they look great together!) and Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. The ladies Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria Parker, Jennifer Morrison (“House”) and Blake Lively (“Gossip Girl”) made quite an impression looking just fabulous. The most disappointing at the red carpet were: Jennifer Lopez (hideous gold dress!), Salma Hayek (white was not a good color!) and Heidi Klum (not a fan of that dress, can’t tell exactly why!).

Leonardo DiCaprio is ready to get rid of his sex symbol status and thinks Zac Efron should take over.

“I look at young Zac Efron and think, ‘Go get it pal, leave me in peace,’” Leonardo told Fox. “I was never happy with the teen idol tag at all — wanted to be a sex symbol or all that stuff – it was the work that appealed to me. Really, nothing else.”

Leo also said he had “total respect for how young stars like Zac handle it all. Really, total respect.”

Personally, I have never found Leo to be hot. He’s a skinny little man with a weird face. I’d take Brad Pitt, Vin Diesel or another muscular man over him any day.

High School Musical star Zac Efron is the latest celebrity to get waxed at the famous Madame Tussauds in London. I’m shocked to see Zac’s wax figure looks more natural than the real thing… not to mention it has less makeup on!!

Madame Tussauds’ description: ZAC EFRON: Loved across the globe for his role as Troy Bolton in the popular High School musical films, the hot star will hang out in a locker-room set where you’ll be able to get right up close, before ‘shooting hoops’ alongside him at a special scoring area.

Teen lovers Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are back together and dating puppy love style once again.  Hudgens claimed last week that she is a hopeless romantic.  Vanessa has been a steadfast among celeb rags and blogs over the past month after the nude/sexy photos of her were leaked by an ex-lover.  Give Zac credit, he has been rather supportive throughout it all.

Some websites are reporting that Disney has fired Vanessa. I am not sure this is true yet, as none of these sites have been able to provide a link to a reputable source. Although it wouldn’t be too crazy to conjure up. Last official word was that neither Vanessa or Zac had signed on for ‘HSM 3′.

High School Musical 2 is even better than the original according to early reviews of the teen musical that stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.

Obviously bigger and in most ways better than the wildly popular original, High School Musical 2 is as certain a bet to find and please its target audience as you’re likely to find. Nothing short of a parental edict would keep most of the first Musical’s fans away from this more elaborate, more high-profile sequel.

Still, it’s important to remember that marketers were following demand more than creating it. Kids turned Musical into a mega-hit while no one else was looking. It seems only fair Disney has rewarded them with a sequel that’s better than you might expect, and better than it probably has to be.

Zac Efron is a rising star in Hollywood.  The movie premiered on August 17th on The Disney Channel.

Rising heartthrob Zac Efron is on the cover of the latest ‘Rolling Stone‘ magazine. Zac is 19 years old and starred in ‘High School Musical‘ and the film version of ‘Hairspray‘.
