New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel was spotted smooching her new boyfriend, screenwriter Jamie Linden, in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Deschanel, 32, was first seen with her new man in June at the Magic Mike afterparty. This is her first public relationship since she split from her Death Cab for Cutie husband Ben Gibbard in late December.

“Jamie’s a really nice guy,” a source told reporters in June. “He’s funny, and a little geeky. . .he’s into her!”

They’re precious. How long are we giving this one?

“New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel and her husband, rocker Ben Gibbard, who tied the knot in September 2009, have amicable and mutually decided to separate, the actress’ rep confirmed.

“It was mutual and amicable,” a source adds. “There was no third party involved. The intention is to move forward with a divorce.”

The 31 year-old, who recently had the honor of singing the National Anthem at a World Series game (watch video here), and the 34 year-old Death Cab for Cutie frontman met through their music manager three years ago and hit it off.

When asked about the trials and tribulations of married life, Zooey said, “You can’t expect to make no effort. You still have to make the effort and be kind and understanding. It sort of just solidifies your commitment.” Hopefully, there’s still hope for reconciliation for Ben and Zooey.

Zooey Deschanel’s Bad Photoshop Job For Rimmel London

The 31 year-old actress did an incredible job. Who would have thought she was such a great singer!?Well, Zooey sings her own “New Girl” theme song and is also part of the “She & Him” recording duo. I just wasn’t expecting Zooey to be such a good performer.

Despite Zooey’s more than satisfying performance, the actress, who was seated with her castmates in some pretty expensive seats, just left before the end of the game. This was noted by the Fox announcer Joe Buck, who did not lose the opportunity to take a stab at the FOX’s new sitcom star.

He said, “A lot of times, the stars have their moment on TV and then they just bolt.” Then the camera cut back to Zooey’s empty seats, and he added, “Maybe they’re just out getting a snack … all of ‘em at once.”

Zooey took to her Twitter to explain her early departure. “Would have loved to have watched the whole game but I had to catch a plane so I can go to work tomorrow. That’s all guys. I’m not a jerk,” she wrote. Apology accepted.

After E! Online pointed out the bad retouching with the title of their article being “What Happened to Zooey Deschanel’s Face?!”, Deschanel took to her Twitter to let E! have it:

“@eonline – um… what happened to your face, eonline? RUDE!!!”

Yikes.

Rimmel needs to get rid of this ad ASAP. Sorry, Zooey.
